Im dissapointed. This chapter mostly affects me negatively.
I think ZOS only cares about creating content for casual players and ignore the actual call of help from the regular/vet players.
    1. The mythical items are a complete fail. 15% increase in speed, increasing dmg by 25%? What the? This will destroy pvp. If people start using this in pvp I will gladly teabags them and tell them this is because of ZOS ruining the game. Mythical items are like Volendrung.. a funny idea but a terrible addition.
    2. The slap in the face by not making the weapons, that we all got in veteran anyway, perfected. What the? Why would ZOS do this? Insulting...
    3. The year of performance? I don't know anyone that feels like the game has improved one bit. The new patch will not bring anything. Of that I am sure
    4. The monster set nerfs.. literally nobody asked for this. Blood spawn nerf.. skoria changes that make no sense. BUT THEY IMPROVE SELENE!? What the??????
    5. The vampire changes.. passives gone. So dd will have trouble sustaining. This is amazing. (Sarcasm)
    6. Maybe people are overreacting but these changes (again) makes a lot of people want to quit the game. I read in zone, cyrodiil, guild chat that people don't like these changes. Not only because the changes are wrong, but because ZOS just doesn't care about the players. Changes every 3 months that makes you reinvent your characters again.

    People talk about leaving.

People talk about leaving every. single. patch.

Some do, most don't. They just react to change as if its the worst thing in the world.

Sure is outrage culture in this thread. I'm actually happy there's only relatively minor changes and not the sweeping sledgehammer nerfs we've come to expect.

You must not have been a user of the Asylum Destruction Staff, Bloodspawn, Grundwulf, Engine Guardian, Thurvokun, etc. as those sets have been thoroughly dumpstered by the combat team.

More essentially though, nerfs are the bankruptcy of creativity, an admission of guilt by the combat team that they are simply out of ideas and unable to provide players with options that can successfully compete with established sets.

Don't assume things about me. I've been playing magdk with perfected asylum for now because it's meta by a wide margin and my score pushing teams require it. The asylum staff nerf sucks but in the grand scheme of things it's relatively minor.

There's plenty of new tools in the toolbox to play with this patch and we're busy theory crafting on pts. Looks like dps will be going up across the board in organized groups. If you've been playing this game for as long as I have then you should know that the minor nerfs we're seeing now are incomparable to what ZOS has done in the past.

I agree. Feels like they're just making changes because they've run out of good ideas, then try to justify them by some meaningless standards babble. These devs have burned me out and I'm just plain sick of the endless assault of nonsensical changes.

I dont know, despite my disagreement with some of the changes and resentment of their neglect to some issues, i do feel like there is a logic at hand here.

It feels like the current team is trying to re eastablish a baseline, and make everything currently available conform to it. Like a precursor to actual ambitious changes.

But the approach is all wrong.

It feels like they are trying to completely redevelop the whole game. Like we are playing the beta for a new game built with mods attached to original eso's bones.

As if they were developing skyrim by modding oblivion piece by piece if that makes sense.

All i can say is it feels like they need a proper play testing team, and corporate wont pay for it so the best they can do is use us.

The off pts cycle to test changes to one particular system (light/heavy attacks) was an excellent step towards the right approach. Id like too see more of that rather than a measly four weeks to make only minor tweaks to things that are so big that they are pretty much set in stone at that point.

Disappointed. Not enough (not any...) effort was made to tune underperforming classes/specs up. Nightbade and MagDK are glaring examples of needing major work for example. The patch notes also didn't mention a single change to performance plaguing this game. Especially in Cyrodiil. The perfected arena weapons are more or less useless so there's 0 reason to consider veteran as the meager improvements won't have anywhere near a large enough impact to warrant the aggravation required to obtain them. The relics are mostly all misses.

Players when ZOS makes massive sweeping changes: "there's too many big changes and too often! We need small tweaks, not a sledgehammer!"
Players when ZOS makes small tweaks and changes: "there's not enough changes! We need major reworks!"

It's like you're in an opposite version of reality. The patch notes mentioned several times that they are outright removing many proc conditions in an effort to improve performance. Perfected arena weapons are definitely better than their imperfect counterparts if you frontbar them. And lastly there are several mythic items that are complete game changers (Thrassian Stranglers is a prime example).

I am somewhere between "excited" and "meh".

There are 2 things that have been asked many times and ZOS ramains silent.
    - vMA & vDA Weapons not being upgraded to perfected, for those who have done the content.
    - NB class identity changes.

Those are 2 things that makes me think "meh" about the patch.
WW changes - yep, I am super happy about those.
Vamp rework - yep also happy about that.
Mythical items - sure, nice !

Overall it is a nice patch so far, but I will hold with my excitement till I see other rounds of PTS.

Closest that came to my actual feelings.

Some parts are amazing and others are awful. I am neither underwhelmed nor overwhelmed. I am whelmed.

I would also have to say both.

I'm excited for the new content and to see how the changes will ultimately affect my characters, at the same time disappointed with some of the changes. For example, I use Queen’s Elegance on two of my characters and the 5th item has changed, no longer 20% damage to light & heavy attack damage. This came as a complete surprise to me, I know its not top tier but it does a decent job for regular content and it now looks like I'll have to find something else to equip them with.

On the other hand IIambris seems to be getting an upgrade, again not a BIS set but it works and is fun to watch.

I have two Vampires and two Werewolves and it'll be fun to see the changes for those two classes, I don't play them a whole lot, maybe that'll change after the update.

    ~ Cheers

Ridiculous nerfs to Vampires, while Werewolf has had a significant buff. Magicka players are still underperforming compared to Stamina in PvP and PvE. No changes to Stamina Necromancer or dizzy swing and executioner spam in PvP. The new pen sets and Mythic items will just create a ton of gankers in PvP which is unfun and boring. Classes which are in needs of buffs such as Mag and Stam Nightblades and MagDKs have got nothing. Lag and performance is still an issue. I really don't know if ZOS plays their own game.
