Cost Increase on Non Vampire Abilities Is Senseless and Detrimental To Build Variety

"Play how you want", ever the Elder Scrolls mantra. And yet here we are, six years into Elder Scrolls Online's lifespan, and options continue to be taken away every update. I've become unfortunately accustomed to this behaviour from the developers over my three and half years of time here, but now I'm faced with perhaps the most disgusting change of all to me. I, and all other vampires with me, will be forced to experience an unwarranted cost increase of all my abilities in an onset of patches where sustain is already dodgy, without the right sets. I was forced to change my sets already, unwillingly, for the unpteenth time, to compensate for this. But now I'm faced with an absurd cost increase, regardless of how I use my vampire. I do not appreciate being forced into this bizarre roleplay Zos has cooked up for me to abide by. The fire damage increase and health regeneration decrease was far enough of a penalty in my eyes, albeit one that could be easily enough worked with. Even ignored if I so chose. But now, regardless of what stories, backgrounds, or playstyles I choose for my vampires, I'm being forced to suffer from these bizarre passives that will affect my every battle on ESO. I would like you to know, Zos, that being a vampire for people like me, who simply liked having it for the sake of use in niche situations if needed, or for my own roleplay purposes, is now going to be a choice I regret. Can I cure it? Of course. Do I want to because of some fantasy being forced on me? No. I'm immeasurably disappointed once again.

I believe you can keep your vamp at level one to avoid the disadvantage. Good luck!

There is still a 5% cost increase at stage 1.

I've seen a suggestion where instead of 5/10/15/20, it got changed to 0/5/10/15, I believe this would be one of the best middle grounds for issues like this, keep yourself at stage 1 to have no ability cost detriment yet no passive ability access, and the more passives you want, the higher stage you go to, and the less your vampiric abilities cost.

I would hope at least that, as much as I still would despise it. At least curing myself wouldn't be my only escape.

Unfortunately not, as of current testing.
