Also, “it’s frowned upon” for one human being to ask other human beings if they played a new game that was out and what they think?

It is all in the context. Asking the same question publicly while you are at a hairdresser having a chat would not be frowned upon. But doing so in the general chat inside another game? You are basically waving a red cloth at a bull.

No, it is not. The owners of the game, the servers that it runs on allows for conversation of other games to occur within the game. To clarify for the nitpickers, they do not forbid as a breech as a term of service. What they do forbid and will take corrective action for is cursing, insulting, and harassing players for any reason.

By "frowned upon" i meant by the game's community, not the game's owner. I was not discussing the legality (whether something is allowed) but the manners (whether something should not be done).

It is not bad manners to talk about/promote a game while talking to a couple of your friends/at a hairdresser.
It *is* bad manners to talk about/promote a game while inside *another* game talking to (potentially) hundreds of complete strangers.

That's what i meant by "it is all in the context".

Bad manners to ask gamers if they played a new game that was out? 😂 👌

Not if you are asking a couple of your gamer friends over a round of beers. Context.

Am I the only one which, considering how OP have behaving in this thread, think that that conversation about another game went very differently than they're portraying it? And for someone who wants people to understand their pov they sure seem invested in not at all getting anyone else's. Kinda hilarious that.

Do you think any of those people will take to heart what you're saying in the op?
And the rest is already acting decently, so I really don't see the point of these kinds of posts.

I think the OP needs to understand that ESO is a lot of things, not just fun.

And saying ESO 'is just a game' is missing the point.

To many players, ESO is like a sport. It's competitive, annoying, frustrating, tiring and rage inducing in equal measure. Just because it's virtual doesn't diminish ones approach and emotional response to the game.

Anyone who has done hard mode vet trials, DLC vet dungeons, vMSA, vDSA and played in Battlegrounds and Cyrodiil will testify to this.

There's so much gibberish going on that it's difficult to comprehend what's actually been written. Some people might want to put away their LSD stash for the week.

So people that tell other people to “kill yourself” and “you are a pos human” “get in discord so I can hear your stupid voice” they obviously live in the game, I get it, it’s an investment of their time...but it’s a GAME.

We've closed this thread given its non-constructive and flaming nature.

It’s okay to disagree and debate on the official ESO forums, but we do ask that you keep all disagreements civil, constructive, and on-topic.
