Remove loot from public dungeon bosses

People are camping these. What these people dont know - or don't care about - is that these bosess only spawn once per new player that enters the chamber.

These campers kill these bosses that do not respawn, screwing the guy that just entered out of credit for completing the public dungeon.

This is becoming an epidemic. A policy needs to be established whether this is a reportable griefing offense, or you need to remove loot from these guys so there is no incentive to farm them.

Might as well just remove loot, XP and gold from the entire game. Because if you feel that removing loot from dungeons is the way to stop this, you're wrong. Haven't you seen botters flooding zombie runs, or hoarded around a monster spawn? It doesn't need to be a boss to be farmed. If you get one hit on a public boss, you'll get credit. Even with all the botters I haven't had a single issue getting credit for public dungeons... just hit 'em once.

    How about no.

You want to fix botters? Make the templar spear require a target.

Thats why theyre all templars. Light white hits wont do enough damage befote it dies to players to get loot.

Didn't they say they were adding a timer? What happened to that?

No idea. Some dungeons I get no loot no matter how many times I kill the boss, other times I get loot every time /shrug
Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

    LOL.

Instance the bloody dungeons and scale them based on solo or number of members in a group.
    THE END.

Cool yeah, just punish normal players as well as getting rid of the bots. Sorry, that doesn't go down well with me.

A good course of action IMHO would be to allow loot and XP only for the first kill during each run. That way there would be no point in the bits camping.

At least they'd have to rescript the bots to run all the way out and in again.
Would at least give us a chance if tagging bosses before they drop and will break up the bot groups a bit.

Not a solution I know but it's something that can be easily and quickly implemented as a short term band aid until they can figure out a more permanent solution.

Put xp/loot on a timer or make the person leave the dungeon to reset loot / XP as Valen said. Whichever is easier, seems like a pretty simple solution.

the bots are attracted because it's a mob with a guaranteed chance to drop something of value. remove that chance and the bots will look elsewhere.

the already dropped xp in these joints to almost nothing. if they aren't going to allow the bosses to respawn, then just remove anything but coin from them.

shouldn't 'might as well' anything. just because a possible solution to fight botting interfering with character progression could be removing loot from this one overworld mob type does not mean we jump to Fox News conclusions and remove all loot. get off the extremist bandwagon.

if you are only doing damage, you have to do a certain amount of damage to get credit. if you are healing you have to do a lot less healing to get loot rights, but somenoe has to take damage. if you got 6 bots sitting on the spawn ready to pounce as soon as a new player gets in range to make it pop, it will usually be dead before that player can get credit with either method.

THIS is the CORE of the problem, as it means that player must now wait for another player to enter and hope they can do enough damage over the 6-10 or however many bots are sitting there to get credit and move on.
