My subject post won't appear on first page?

Hi folks,

I recently wrote a subject concerning ESO+ asking people for a vote (who is in doubt, who stopped, who continues) - It has almost 600 votes (different opinions)
My post will no longer bump to first page and I am wondering if there is perhaps an error impeaching it? (currently on second page)

Thank you,

Freya

Shadow ban is a thing, even in ESO.

First of all, bumping for the sake of bumping is against forum rules.

Now that we have this established... When mods "purge" threads and delete comments they reduce the amount of visible posts in the topic. But in the background the system remembers the amount of posts which actually were there. The topic will then not light up as if it has new messages or be moved to the first page until the original pre-purge amount of comments is reached.

    Greetings,

As the issue has been resolved, we are going to go ahead and close this thread. If you notice anything amiss on our Forums, please feel free to let any of the moderators know and we'll be happy to look into it.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    There is this.

However, I have only seen mods close or delete a thread or remove/edit posts in a thread. I have never seen them make it so a thread does not bump to the top of the category. Heck, the subject of the thread is of no consequence to Zos. They would not care about that thread as they take the real poll every month.

It's not something mods do intentionally. Just a side effect of them deleting posts in a thread. To give a simple example: if a thread had 100 posts and mods deleted 20 of them, the thread won't be updated as "new" until it gets 21 new messages and reaches 101 posts total.

    Thanks for your replies folks,

Well we will see tomorrow if it changes.

I've spoken with many on vocal, on streams..it's a general feeling at the moment (subject of my mentioned post) and I realise they have statistics on their end, but for us this is the 'only' place where our voice reaches their ears.

I've noticed this before, it's a flaw in the forum engine.

My forum post still won't appear on first page.

I went to your post and I can't vote, maybe the poll has expired?

Well I didn't know that, but we've been discussing back and forth and it won't appear either way.

I see. The post is on page 3 for me but has April 16 as the "most recent" reply despite there being posts from this morning (April 17)

edit: posted something in your poll thread. Apparently it cannot be the OP posting for it to "bump" to the front page.

edit 2: but it won't stay on the front page long if no one else can vote either.

Hmmm sounds fishy to me. I'd like to receive an explanation either way from @ZOS_RachelM who contacted me recently for another purpose, please.
