Um, it is easily countered — that's beside the point. The problem I have is that for over a year now they've been not just nerfing NBs, but also giving their unique skills and abilities to every class in the game via weapon & world skill lines — and often, those skills are a better version of the original NB skill. They've weakened & watered down the class to an insane degree.I thought Cloak was so easily countered, shouldn't this be completely insignificant? (o_ô)
And the vamp invis bonus damage is probably extremely useful on a NB with invis on demand.
They try to talk a good game re: "class identity," and then they turn around and destroy what's left of what made NBs unique. How would you like it if Streak, Frags, and Wrath were available to every class, and in some cases the generic abilities were even stronger than the original Sorc abilities?
Come now, it's only Fear. That's the only skill given to other STAM classes. And now magicka classes get it. It's the logical response to Turn Evil, and only fair.
The other NB skills are just... bad. It's not a problem with class identity, but balancing. See, NBs still have easily spammable invisibility. A recall shade. Passives for additional crits, especially from stealth. A little impractical sprint passive won't make NBs lose their stealth superiority.
At some point, this probably had to happen. Vampires and Nightblades have always had very similar strengths. Namely speed and stealth, with some magic and mind control.
I simply see a lot of potential in this new NB-vamp synergy. This may very well be the buff you've been asking for. The damage bonus from stealth is extremely interesting. And you're forgetting the drawback of increased non-vamp costs. We haven't seen final numbers yet, this could potentially be a huge detriment to many builds, unless they can gain more from the vamp abilities. Like Nightblades.

Sprinting for x seconds vs a button press that removes dots and last longer.
Yup, NBs are dead now that every class has access to mediocre, breakable invis that costs more than cloak. Whatever will they do???
Wait cloak removes dots..... I thought it only supresses them..... Also this invisinility will most likely also supress dots because zos can not get invis to work while damage is ticking on you

I don't see how it's fair, fear should have been(mainly) a NB skill not given to everyone.
Imagine if streak or mage wrath(or whatever you want)was given to everyone and maybe they are even better than one for your class,i don't think you would like the idea.
Also while cloak will be better in fight this passive can be better to escape or ambush people and giving everyone one of the most iconic class ability/effect to everyone who choose to be a vampire is not a great idea.
Whatever you are magika/stamina roll/streak/shade(etc)>los>sprint away while invisible, there is also the new ring the give 40% ms while not in combat and 20% while in combat that you can combine with the passive(and other set)
Just an example.

Wrong. Harness used to let physical damage through. It is 100% the same you're complaining about. In fact, there were complaints back then, too.
And if you're reaching for straws, fine, have it. EVERY player is invisible when crouching. Not NB-exclusive. I know, it's a dumb argument. And on par with what you're trying here.
We're at an end. If you're trying to make it appear like sorcs have not been in the same situation, you're in denial.

Right, totally ignoring the point about streak.
It is the situation where every one of NBs skills is either useless or has a better alternative. And no, sorcs have not been in that same situation.
So, I play a NB and I can only think of how these new passives and abilities will be so dope with my NB. You gotta stop looking at it like you are losing something, when in fact, you just got a skill line that compliments your class so well. I can't wait to try some NB builds with these. I think a lot of you lack vision, too many clouds in your skyline. Think about it for a minute and you might see how good this can be for NB.
what's the actual problem i don't understand?
is bs.not so easy to catch

So Invisibility isn't just a Night Blade tool kit item. Its a Vampire one as well.

Embrace of Shadows (Greater Power) - Night Eye for 90 secs on Self, Invisibility for 180 secs on Self, once per day.

One it's a MMO and the other a single player game they are not the same,it's better for the MMO to have classes with unique skill and toolkit but even then in oblivion/skyrim(and maybe even morrowind could not recall) it's once per day not at will.Um, it is easily countered — that's beside the point.
Yeah. It's not like a damage shield was given to every class, right?
Ah yeah every one get the exact if not better copy of Conjured Ward(and morph),not to mention shield where never exlcusive to magika sorc(unlike cloak)since the beginning but okay nice try.
How about after sprinting for X sec you start streaking?sound good right?
Yes. A full-absorbing, magicka-scaling shield used to be exclusive to sorcs.
which still is(?),but shield where in the game before aswell was not something only for one class to begin.
Invisibility was part of the NB toolkit, you could use a potion at best.
The comparison with shield is not right, the right comparison would be give access to every class the ability to blink/streak which is a sorc only skill as it should be.
But whatever now people might stop complaning about cloak, just go vamp and sprint.

Half of a sorc's skill bar consists of non-sorc abilities. And you are grossly exaggerating. Strife. Merciless. Shade. Incap. Siphoning. Cloak. Fear. Impale. Debilitate. Good skills with no better alternative. If NBs had better alternatives, they wouldn't be complaining. The problem is, this is the best they have right now.

Probably I phrased it wrong. Alternative that a NB can use? Well, not every one, though most of them, especially on a stamblade.
NBs don't have a single (!) skill that people wouldn't agree to trade for another class skill.
Would sorcs trade their streak for something? Wardens their shimmerine? Necros blastbones? DKs Take Flight? Templars jabs? Not the full list. Well, NBs don't have a skill that is worth holding on to, especially after the update.
