IMO, that's a great change, but there's still the problem of the Light Attacks returning Stamina or Magicka based upon weapon type.
Perhaps a better solution would be to have the type of resource that is returned should also be determined by your max stats OR at least provide sets or skills that could allow the mapping to be changed.
Even without that though, it makes using Swords / Greatswords more useful for melee Magicka builds in PvP (and PvE?) and possibly providing new options for Stamina characters as well.
Thoughts?
Hybrid builds can be used for easier content (normal dungeons, questing, etc) but will never be viable under the current stat system. In PvP you can do alright with one though (especially no-CP). The issue with hybrids is:
• Maximum Stamina, Weapon Damage, Weapon Critical increase the effectiveness of Stamina skills. We also have very strong *Stamina only* sets
• Maximum Magicka, Spell Damage, Spell Critical increase the effectiveness of Magicka skills. We also have very strong *Magicka only* sets
• Champion Points buff either Stamina or Magicka skills - you have to split your point allocation to buff both.
With that said, we do have New Moon Acolyte which is good for hybrids. Pelinal’s is also good and would be a lot better if it raised Spell/Weapon critical chances too ( 5x medium with Pelinal’s and stack into Weapon Damage for max benefit btw).
Definitely won’t see good hybrids in PvE anytime soon.
