I was already ambivalent about what was being offered with this chapter and the price they were asking (see below) so was on the fence from the beginning. The only reason I might have preordered/gotten at release is to play the new trial with friends, since that's where I get most of my enjoyment these days. But after the horrible "performance" patch that's still having issues, along with other issues that haven't been fixed after months and months of bug reports, there's no way I'm paying full price. Maybe I will get it at discount, or just wait until next year.

Morrowind: new zone, new class, new game style (BGs), new trial = $40
Summerset: new zone, new guild, new crafting line, new mini trial = $30
Elsweyr: new zone, new class, new trial = $40
Skyrim: new zone, new trial, new...mini games? = $40

Not with the game in this state. I'll hold off any new dlc until the performance is fixed, or the game dies, whichever comes first.

I will buy it when my characters can solo content that I was able to enjoyably solo a year and a half ago.
Alternatively, if the pre-order came with a token for a new combat team, I might pre-purchase it.

As it is... tired mount, costume that does nothing for me, XP scrolls to add to the 70 I already have, and oh... yay... another dark themed update so I can pretend I'm so dark and evil. Hard pass.

Yes, and depending on how Monday's patch goes, I may be requesting a refund.

It's not reasonable to expect us to have faith that things will get fixed at this point. There is essentially zero communication from ZOS. What communication there is tends towards deflection and misdirection, and only very rarely admits fault or failure on the part of ZOS. There are players on this forum that can help other players, but there is no moderator that can provide any support of any kind and supporting the game is the primary purpose of this forum.

....it doesn't look very promising at this point. It's a shame. ESO is a great game and we all have a stupid amount of time tied up into it at this point.

Also, last night I couldn't see the animation of gap-close and puncturing sweep on anything in Cyrodiil. I wasn't sure if anything happened at all until a few seconds later.

I'm gonna keep playing ESO and if I wasn't I'd have already moved on to other MMO's.

I did but it was kind of an impulse buy. Had I known the performance was going to get even worse I might have held off on it, but I still love the concept of going to Solitude so I'm not going to refund it. Unless something really bad happens.

The game is unplayable.
Performance & combat bugs are worse than ever before.
I came back after 10 months break and I was shocked to see what this game has become.
I hope ZOS will be able to fix it soon, but as Gandalf once said:

So I will wait to see if ZOS will be able to fix the game before spending anymore money.

As of now "Performance fix" made things worse for me, if they can fix prior to new "Chapter" will probably get it.

- Loading screens longer, and more of them are happening in open zones.
- 75% of the time the game crashes on exiting.
- Skills do not function now fairly regularly, did not happen before patch
- Stuck in combat with no enemies around.
- Shield Blocking showing after I stop blocking stays on for several minutes.
- Grouping Tool broken worse than ever, Cannot activate the prompt to join the group 50% of the time.
- Invite to group from other players works but has "failed to join group" notices even tho I successfully joined the group.

Heck no. With all these new features introduced with the last update I will wait until it is fixed.

On top of that every time in the past within three months of release the expansion goes on sale. So I am going to wait.

This is the first time I haven't jumped to pre-order a chapter. I just can't bring myself to do it when I look at the poor state of performance and decision making in some areas of the game (I'm looking at you, combat team).

It might be different if you're buying it through a console, I have no idea what that looks like. But on PC it shows all 4 options together on the front page of the store (you should be able to see it yourself, using the Store link at the top of this page). And as you can see from the screenshot the normal upgrade is £32.99.

I won't pre-purchase anything else until they fix the desync / performance issues. As of today I've cancelled my plus membership. Hopefully, ZOS will fix this game, which has awesome potential, into what it can truly be. In todays' uncertainty, ZOS has an opportunity to excel in the virtual world.

I did. I play this game for the story, visuals, and voice acting. I'm predominantly a solo player, so I pretty much just chase soloable achievements and motifs. As I have stated in previous posts, I spent years banging my head against raid/trial bosses. I've had enough of that, but I don't begrudge others who are here for that kind of content.

I don't do PvP either, so I'm not experiencing any performance issues. But for those that are, I can certainly understand hesitation in further investing.

Though this time I didn't spring for any of the collectors stuff, they just didn't interest me. For my purposes of playing this game, I doubt I will be disappointed.

I’ve been looking at this game for years but finally got around to playing it. So far what I have played is really good, just wish they would fix ESO + issue right now because my inventory and bank are overfill.

I am concerned about how much is underground, I'd rather explore more of the topside. I have not bought it yet. Also, since I am now going to have to self-isolate for a week, statutory sick pay is a huge hit to my wages.
