An admirably annoying old man that many would find no lacking of unkind words to describe his manner, but no one should deny his contributions to the safety and continuance of Tamriel. And yet we didnt see what actually happened to Tharn after explosion. While Sai Sahan was obviously dead during ritual with artifact of godly power, and managed to come back. Dont underestimate survivability: plot level statY'all are obviously in the denial stage of grief. The man took a magical nuke to the face, even for Elder Scrolls, not quite sure that's something to walk away from.
