ESO logs - violates our rights !!!

I'm a little confused about what exactly you think is private about your gear and skills in the game itself.

If you wear any sets with a visual effect, buff, debuff, or proc, players watching you can already tell what you are wearing just by paying attention. That's assuming an organized group doesn't double check gear to begin with.

Same thing for skills. Anyone who watches your rotation can figure out what skills you have on your bar, seeing as how skills have distinctive visual effects.

ESO Logs records that info and makes it available on a delay, not in real time. Its not much more than your group members or anyone watching you play can't figure out on their own just by watching you.

How would I even know if someone is using eso-logs? It’s an external, third party system who ZOS have allowed access to our data.

Players who use it don’t need to tell anyone they’re using it. And there’s no way in game to recognise if someone is.

I’m all for players having access to their character data, but I’d like to be able to consent as to whether and when they can use my characters’.

This, pretty much. If someone is severely underperforming in vet trial content, they're essentially letting 11 other people down. And if OP is not underperforming, most people wouldn't care what they're wearing and which skills they're using.

You want a loyal player who is there every raid despite not having the best performances or some elite guy or girl whom comes there with big fuss kicks some ppl from your team then a week or two later dissapear without a word cos they found a better team?
I did saw teams in the past whom kept players whose performances weren't the best, or crashed or so so on just because one thing. They were loyal and they did tried their best. And that in time worked up in their favor by having a solid team and a solid guild that stick there for ages. Those teams who always seek the best will often die just as fast for not having a consistent team to raid with. Been in too many teams already. Must be few hundreds.

With or without eso logs players shold keep that in mind before judging someone performances. Just look over them and see what isn't working and try to talk about how things could change for the better, such as positioning, team composition or skills. But don't abuse that and start laughting at X for beign a noob in a good team. Nor try to take over a progression group because a certain person isn't as good despite the fact he was there since ages before you.

Also that addon Lootbox or how its called... it also invade your privacy and it does affect you as an individual way more. I complained about it but hey? Who I am to say to X end game zos favorite player that he can't spy or have my loot? I'm a giving person who really can't say no so this kind of addon really affect me as an individual because It feels like my privacy or loot is beign stolen away. And you will give me right to a point.
I got this v^v item I fought so hard but here comes X and begs for it, X whom helped me a lot, so I have nowhere to go and give it away and prioritize others before me. Happens again but this time Y jumps on me and so on. If you are a selfless person this kind of addon really affects you in a negative way. Why zos allow such addons? Cos they don't listen to its player base. They only listen to a certain player base. Those few end gamers whom are very power hungry about pretty much everything.

Also complained about another addon Custom Titles whom damaged my friendship and relationship with someone, destroying me and everything I achieved in this game... guess again? I'm alone into this. Everyone using this addon jumped on me like "disable it" WRONG. You want this addon, you install it on your own pc. You do not install it on my pc with or without any sort of disclaimer. Capisci?

@ZOS you should be more responsible for which addons get past your missing quality team of yours and prevent such abuses to happen in the first place.

I do not need ebon and alkosh when i am on dd. I tank boss with 99% no death on DD when this tank fall each time. But do you know what he tells me, when i ask him to change in some better self sustain sets ?

(Tank in it can not stand one place, some times i get 3 times less damage becouse he ran away, than with tank in leaching !!! I do not need dead tank. I need it agr biss and stay 1 place like a rock !!!)

There will always be people who couldn’t clear 5k dps in a standard meta build, CP810, fully buffed and perfectly enchanted golded-out gear. You can lead a horse to water, but there’s nothing you can do if the horse prefers to turn around and drink out of a bucket of bleach.

That has nothing to do with Logs. In fact, Logs would help you if you were raid leading to weed out people who on paper should be doing well, have the gear, have the skills, but are underperforming. Logs tell you why.

Logs can be abused by certain people but the same crowd bullying people with logs have been finding ways to demean other players and be elitists since launch. The goalposts have just shifted a little with logs but at the same time provided lots of valuable tools to trial guilds and serious players looking to up their game. And as others have stated calling it a “privacy violation” is just...hilarious.

Try real socialization sometimes, with real people. Being criticize in real life is normal and should be taken as an opportunity for improvement instead of whining about it hurting your vanity.

for the (yes i'm gonna say it) "vast" majority of players ESO logs will have little or no impact at all, as mentioned by others an experienced player can spot you skills and work out what gear you have simply by paying attention (how most player count builds in PvP). as per the TOS we own nothing in game, we are not even referred to as customers but as "FANS". i suspect as was the case last year players do not not fully understand how ESO logs work. to even gather the data you must create an account on the website, then D/L the "App" once you have run the content you wanted to log you then have to upload it manually to the website, all this is done AFTER the fact and players are not logging every single dungeon or trial they run with pugs. the data collected is limited to your account name (if you set it to allow log), your build,skills and rotation, no different than posting a parse on a target dummy. nothing is being "stolen" nobody has had any rights "violated"

If you think that tanks just need to survive and DDs should invest in survivability, then you're clueless when it comes to endgame content.

Do not worry i play good enough to even if i do do that simple kind of content by myself or in a small group of people (2-3 people).

Do not need socialization with dummies, have a girl and do not need your advice and even do not ask you about it.

Have 50+ k dps on my NORD tank on 3 k dummy with only self buffs and debuffs in DD gear.

But it didnt change that fact that i need to say this the same think lika a perrot to people like you each time, and it makes me unhappy.

It does seem like some BS that someone could put all the time and effort into Perfecting their Build and not be a total Piece and contribute to the Meta by posting it all over Social Media and Youtube only for some other Piece to come by and steal their Build without putting in any of the time and effort.

Say hypothetically that person was already working on a Presenting said build and naming it after themselves until this Lookie Loo MF comes along and takes credit for something they stole off someone else.

OP is right, it's BS.

Well it really sucks that someone can see your build. I have my own builds instead of "copy+paste Alcast" and they are better than common "meta" in real situations (not against dummies) and I don't want other people to copy my builds and I don't want to my personal meta to get nerfed because of that... Because that's what usually happends when someone posts on these forums "XXX is OP" wah wah wah.

But i can not see any root points of some people who answer, to base on.

My opinion is, that any software, that let you get more data than game gives you is bad.

Do not like some addons by the way.

I think, that it is much better not give other players inf like that.
