im using it as Dizzying replacement the last week to test it out. here's my quick review:
- i like the range, and itself being a ranged spammable. i dont run around with a bow, and guess what, i can still "sling the rock" at 0 meter. it works.
- the damage is much better now, and the cost is good too. no complaint. it's cost tiny bit less and hits tiny bit less harder than Dizzying, with a lot shorter cast time. and being ranged, i dont have to worry about people walking through me, i simply keep a bit of range.
- adding minor brut is a bonus so i dont have to bar-swap to my defensive bar where Frag Shield is and spend ridicolous amount of Magicka.
- missing and being dodge seems to be just as often as my Dizzying. from my own experience. YMMV.
- the stun is a bonus. i'm never good enough that Dizzying's off-balance stun is controllable anyway, so for both DS and SG, if it comes with a stun, great, if not, oh well.
- the awkward first AoE-no-range, however, is a problem. just get rid of it.
- the animation is dissapointing, but it works for a ranged call.
So in summary, it's OK. it's good for ZOS to work on this skill that otherwise simply collecting dust.
But let's talk about those 2 issues:
1. Why split them between that first cast-time infested Melee-only AOE hit, and long-range single-target ranged? They're absolutely different type of skills, and it serves different situation. Just go back to all range like before (with the new cost and damage level), or make it an AoE melee-only spammable (a.k.a. make it just like that first one).
2. Animation is a let down. come on ZOS, give us something closer to OUR CLASS IDENTITY.
PS: slinging hot rocks isn't exactly "Fire and Fury" as you advertised..........
PPS: i like the floaty hot rocks though.

You got to look at not just the overview of just skills. Off Balanced is a sustain and damage boost. Stagger is crap even in pve. SF loses so hard to any other common spammable, melee or otherwise.

Well that just isn't true.
Test it for yourself before making bold claims that have no weight.
