Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – April 6

New server : Fresh start.

marcweiss81nrb19_ESO
I have max lvls characters and hundreds of thousands of gold, but I would love the opportunity to join a new server where everyone had the CHOICE to level again free of the failures of this launch.

I think the peace of mind knowing that I am playing on a level playing field is worth the small effort in regaining my current in game position.

Whos coming with me? (grabs goldfish)

Agreed. I have no life'd it for a couple of weeks and have levelled two 50 characters and have been working toward a third. I have also amassed a very large wealth of materials that have spilt from a guild bank onto multiple alts used as mules with slightly upgraded bags. Despite ALL of this work I honestly believe the best solution to this disaster would be to perform a complete wipe of all gold and items or even a complete re-launch as suggested.

Honestly people need to sit back and reflect on the travesty that has occurred. Swallowing 3 weeks of hard work is going to go down much easier than living with the damages for years to come.

I totally agree, I wish more people would look at the big picture. As you said, 3 weeks of lost time vs a year or two of trivialized crafting and currency inflation. Theres no question in my mind what should be done.

Huh? Can either of you two guys enlighten me as to the drastic nature of your suggestion? I know this has been a rough start for ESO, but a complete wipe?

I think it's too early for a new server. Who's to say more "game-breaking" bugs or exploits won't be found and...exploited? Let's let ZeniMax completely fix these problems first and give it some time to see if there is anything else that needs fixing.

I would hate to go over to a new server and have something similar happen again 3 weeks later.

Very valid point. I was more interested to gauge how strongly people felt about this and if they would conisder the ultimate sacrifice to regain control over their game.

They're coming out of the duplication glitch conversation. Zenimax just shut it down, but there were ways to duplicate items, which some players abused the hell out of.

This early, a complete wipe is sound. YET.. the backlash would have so many snapfest if done. Guilds disbanded, subs dropped, ragefest 1000 times more on forums across the planet.
"Human sacrifice! Dogs and cats, living together! Mass hysteria!"

exactly, thats why I thought the choice to start again would be the optimal solution.

If we imagine a perfect world scenario where 100% of dupers were banned it would still not be enough. The duped items themselves have been laundered since early access on day 1 and nobody would be any the wiser to know whether they're trading legitimate or illegitimate goods. Single players have gotten MILLIONS of gold in a matter of minutes. Some players boast about having 500 slot guild banks with enough materials to guarantee over 700 people an entire set of legendary upgrades.

This obviously makes an enormous impact on the economy where items have been depreciated to the point where they are barely worth more than vendor prices despite their rarity.

Would you prefer to play in an ESO world where you spend many months/years of your time in a game with no economy and where everyone is assumed to be wearing the best gear all the time and the only thing left to do is wait for the next content patch.

A new sever without dupes and bots and I'm in. I like my MMOs with a decent economy.
