    Yeah i noticed that too, get out of combat, take off all your sets, take your food/drink again, put on your sets, for me at least solve the problem, I still don't know exactly what causes it.

    We may never know since its been around a very long time ...

    Combat feels clearer visually for me, no longer totally hiding some of attacks.
    Only thing that bothers me that different animations have different rate that can be cancelled.

    Example: You can hide whole animation of blastbones/mage summon. Same with Rally. Cleave, boneyard and vigor plays about half of them. But you can't cancel Volley, Wall of Elements or any ground ult at all before GCD ends.

    The Combat is way more fluent than before visually and reactive. You just need to readjust your cancel patterns a bit.

    whne I cast arrow barrage...I just cant belive how SLOW AND LONG is animation of this skill and I cant skip it anymore besides just barswap which probably will be gonna soon also "fixed" to prevent ani cancel....

    as I said...some skills animation is taking longer time than actual skills with cast time and now we are unable to skip their animation and so we are stuck in clunkyness just watching how we cant do anything else in this time just wasting precious seconds of combat

    Well ZoS finally nerf again another good mechanic, for those who were using AC Block this change is very bad, some animations are sluggish and combat feels slowed down, its not complete destroyed, you can barswap or roll dodge to cancel animation so you can work on that, I hope at least they leave it like that..

    yeah I hope they will leave ani cancel with barswap or rolldodge...but I doubt they will leave it if they want to keep changes which they made with it with block

    at all I coudl live with this change without any problem if....if there was no so long animations of skill like for volley, beast trap and some more...which after all are isnta cast skills and yet their animation is taking longer time than real cast skills, ults....if something have so long animation....why for now not change it for cast time and buff along with it? if thye cant shorten animation of such long-animated skills

    I thought block cancel was not working and the claim it just looks different in Gilliams video was bogus, but what I found is somewhere between. They said it would just play more of the animation that actually happened anyway to smooth out the visuals, but what I found is if you block cancel right after you activate the ability; it doesnt work even if you double tap trying. You get the entire animation. If you let the minimum animation play, it let's you cut it in half.

    Doesnt work that well in combat as I dont know about you all, but I'm often mashing LA,ability,right click right away. Not sure how to slight pause in there.

    At any rate, if you go to the PVP stam, its dizzy, medium attack weave blend anyway because homogenized abilities and unreliable recovery

    Yup, animation duration varies and the global cool down for light attacks is set so some skills wont be worth using because of the animation cast time while using an 'instant' cast ability.

    Next project for ZOS, make all animations for instant cast abilities the same duration so we can weave light attacks properly again.

    It feels a little like we're going backward, hopefully the issues are resolved quickly..

    Except it was never meant to be a 'good mechanic', it was a bug they couldn't fix so they decided to make it a 'feature'. You can't claim they're nerfing what was originally a bug when they finally find a way of fixing it, no matter how convenient it made combat for you.

    I'm not one to defend ZOS without decent cause. In fact, more often than not I'm pointing out how most of what they do is stupid at best and a blatant cash grab at worst. But in this case, there are people all up in arms when ZOS finally starts fixing a bug that was never intended and is causing other problems. I say good on ZOS for finally fixing something for once, or trying to at least.

    What is it a majority of people in here like to vomit every time someone is unhappy with changes? Oh yeah, "adapt and get over it and stop QQing" essentially. Same could be applied here; doesn't feel very good to be told to just get over something making you unhappy, does it? And for the record I'm not saying that to anyone in general dissatisfied with the change, but mainly targeting the sentiment at those who may have used this argument against people in the past.

    At any rate, if ZOS is determined to actually cull animation cancelling (and again, I say go for it if it'll improve server stability) and they have the means to do it without breaking a million other things, no amount of angry threads about it is going to change their mind. You can argue "oh but it's a feature now not a bug!" all you want, but at the end of the day it's still a bug because it was never intended. You can't really get too upset if they're fixing a glitch in order to make the game run better; isn't that what people usually want? For bugs and glitches to be fixed?

    EDIT: Also just to put this out there, I don't use animation cancelling, but I'm not defending getting rid of it because I don't use it. I pretty much never PvP and only rarely do PvE stuff outside of events and running the occasional dungeon with friends. Most of what I do in this game these days is RP. I just never felt the need to bother learning it, and I'm far more concerned with the server being more stable than I am any sort of unintended combat 'feature', whether it's one I use or not. If nixing animation cancelling will help ESO's servers not run like a fresh cow pie, then I apologize to the people who use it, but I'll be the first to vote for it to go.

    I've watched the video above (again). In the beginning, he said we could be holding block and still get one-shotted. I did not find that to be the case PRIOR to update 25. After the update, it does seem to be the case for me. I notice this more in vMA (I feel somewhat validated because he even mentioned vMA).

    I do not like the changes to block, but willing to give it a chance. I am going to record some battles so that I can see exactly what I am doing wrong or if something is going wrong.
