While I am at work, I may have a certain select few (maybe two) that I'll play for background flashes, since I can't hear them - and rarely do any of them offer subtitles. *

*Alcast and Kristofer only ones that have on rare occasions for older videos that I have seen.

I very rarely use twitch or watch anyone else playing video games. I'd rather play the game myself. I used to watch some of the pro heroes of the storm players matches though now and again.

I don't watch streams, I do however leave my tablet on auto watch whenever twitch drops are on so I can get free crown crates.

The good old open Twitch, Mute Site, set settings at 160p and get twitch drops tricks, 60% of the time, it works every time.

I know what you're asking yourself, and the answer is yes, I have a nickname for my P... Mount .

It's called Sex Panther By Odeon

That is how I got my Got my Senche of Scarlet Regret Apex Drop from a twitch free crate.

I find watching other people play eso boring. I'd rather play the game myself.

I would watch youtube videos form a particular encounter though, because that's condensed, short and to the point.

    Does the question mean
    - do you watch Twitch streams even though you play ESO yourself (generally)?
    - do you watch Twitch streams at the same time as you play ESO?

I never watch twitch streams. I just put them on in the background for the drops. I have little time to play the game myself, I'm not going to waste it on watching someone else play it.

Nope might watch the occasional Youtube video, showing some of the changes being tested on the PTS from time to time.

Other than that I don't really care to watch others play a game, especially when I am able to play it myself.

If I am on the fence about getting a game I will watch some people playing it but only to help me decide if I want to buy it.

If I buy a game after that, I prefer to figure stuff out for myself, only when I get truly stumped do I turn to online guides and videos.

I'm only on Twitch when there are official ESO DLC announcements on the Bethesda channel. I don't care much for what other players are doing.

I sometimes (but not very often) watch Let's Plays (of other games) on Youtube though. Mostly SorcererDave. His roleplaying is hilarious (and his efforts and seriousness while RPing I find absolutely splendid).

I only watch videos of other people playing if I'm considering buying a game and want to see exactly how it works, and I don't know anyone who already has it. I've got no interest in watch someone else play a game when I could be playing it myself.

Very rarely during playing but I have sometimes stream on background while working.

There is pretty much only one eso streamer I find entertaining/tolerable to listen (I am very finicky about voices).

    Almost always.... now.

Legit started watching when I first even GOT a Twitch account, and linked it strictly for drops when they were finally enabled for <ahem> console - but after doing it for those reasons for awhile, I gravitated towards certain streamers.

Now it seems strange if I DON’T have a stream on my tablet while playing - ‘cause there’s are a bunch of varied content focused on a bunch of specific aspects of the game that are fun and interesting.

    Pretty great community vibe!

I usually do have a stream on the background, it has been a habit of mine since 2010 or so. I replaced tv with what was then justin.tv and now twitch. When you start playing a game that has been around for as long as ESO, the only way to catch up is by learning from better players.

Dont use any streaming site, and only have twitch for the prime loot since I pay for Prime anyway.
On YouTube I watch Alcast for his patch videos and watched Kasa till she quit. I couldn't even name another chanel that focuses on ESO.

I never watch streamers because I find it pointless.

That depends on your perspective, and what the streamer is doing. I tend to watch the streamers that talk about the game, not about their game, while they are playing. I am mainly interested in chatter about the game, not necessarily about what is happening on their screen. A PVP streamer that is just talking about the guy they just killed is boring. I expect them to be able to talk about more than just what is happening in their little special in-game world. PVE streamers can get away with talking about dungeon mechanics as they happen, or before they happen. PVP streamers just sound like they are bragging, or whining, when they talk about what is happening in their game.

Only time I watch twitch is when I am looking to see what a new game I am interested in looks like. Example I recently watched a couple minutes of Wolcen, game looked fun and I purchased it for a change of pace.
