God of Schemes Bug

Yea, ... after getting V1 i made the quest with Molag Bal it was heavy no question took 1 hour. Then i returned to "The Harborage" everything fine i spoke with The Prophet then suddenly my game crashed okay that was not the problem i know why. After login i went straight back in and wanted to talk to him again but look here:

tried to relog and /reloadui nothing worked ;[

Support already contacted but they need really long..

I cant proceed with my game when i cannot finish that Quest its really annoying

Most likely not enough people for high priority, or they just dont know what to do.

Thats what i have to believe, because it has been known for 2 weeks and all we heard about it is we're investigating...

I really like this game. I believe Zenimax has a lot of potential and are doing overall a good job. But they have to work on their support. As in more feedback and faster fixes. Based on the feedback i guess there are about 2-3 people in frontend CS, and based on patches that go live each week maybe 30 developers. That's fine during creation, and once everything is running smoothly, its not during launch.

Sorry for the rant, but i honestly believe it's deserved at this point.

Anyway, i'll hope they fix it within the next 2 patches, or i'll most likely have to quit.

If you cant proceed with the "main" game then its really really hard to like the game..

I like it no question but with all those bugs and items disappearing its not so enjoyable ofc the game just run since 4.4 but obviously they have huge problems who need a faster fix they take too much time to get patched or something

So we now know that showstopper bugs that should have resulted in a delayed launch are given a Medium status.

That refund is looking more and more appealing.

The tracker is totally unofficial. Just for info. I wanted a space to be able to clearly track issues, and get email updates, since Zenimax aren't doing this.

Greetings!

I just wanted to get in contact with you regarding some issues with the quest "God of Schemes" that a few players have been reporting to us.

There are a couple of issues that can affect players during this, but the most common involves the battle event not continuing as it should and freezing up. This was addressed in the last patch, but appears to be still affecting some players, so I wanted to let you know a workaround that has helped some players in case it is frozen for you still.

If the battle event is not completing and is becoming stuck, then what is working at the moment is to leave the quest zone (if possible) and do some other quests, or craft, or run a dungeon for about 2 hours so the quest resets. Playing on another character will do the same. Once it has reset you get to take part in the fight again, but also get to remake the decision that comes before the fight. If you change the decision to a different one from the one you used when the fight last bugged, it should actually progress correctly! I know this is a bit of a long winded work around, but it has indeed been working and we want to help people move on into advanced content asap

If this does not work or if the quest is actually having issues at another stage, please do get back to me directly by replying to this mail with as much information about what is happening as possible, and I will work with you to get the event up and running!

After talking to a few other players I got into contact with about this, they have all stated the exact same issue, that when they return to the survivors they can't interact with any of them or the Prophet either.

I've collected information on this and passed it all on internally as it is indeed a serious issue, and I will be getting back to players like yourself as soon as I have an update on it.

I'm going to leave your case open and assigned to me so I can get back to you, and I'm really sorry that this issue is still actually occurring. We resolved the main problem with God of Schemes but this is just as important an issue and I can confirm is being investigated as we speak.
As soon as I have an update I will get back to you, and I'm really sorry again about the amount of inconvenience I know this must be causing.

Its good that its finally come on their Radar, but too little too late for me.

So I killed Molag, got Failed to Transfer. Now I am stuck in the zone. Can't do ***. I relog, wants me to kill him again. Sure np, only thing is.. there is an Molag npc I can't attack. I submitted a Ticket for help.. at 2 am... good night!

After killing baal and cutting him up i'm now having the same problem sitting in front of a non interactive boss that i just killed. Relogging does nothing, /stuck does nothing, and running game fix tool on the launcher does... you guessed it! Nothing.

Submitted a ticket, but received no email with a ticket number or any notification at all that it actually went through, not sure how this system works.

Seemingly quite vague on how I would be notified.

When I killed Molag I just got teleported into "The Colored Rooms" and I was supposed to meet someone there and get my soul back... Well, inside that room it was NOTHING. No NPC, no quest marker, no nothing. /reloadui doesn't work, /stuck just spawns you inside there again and logging out and log in again after a while doesn't help either. I can get that some side quests can be a little bugged out, that's no problem because you can always do some other side quests, but getting stuck in a main quest is just crap. Better hope for a fix for this quest soon...

My problem was...after logging off whilst at the fight Molag pahse. When relogged I didnt have the divines buff.

Returning to harborage reset this so although I had to runthat sequence again i was able to complete.

This is just crap that they don't fix the main story before everything else since it's mostly the main story people want to complete.

Hi!

I'm a wizard (Lebám), I have rank 1 but I can not do the quests range because although I have killed three times (at different times) to Molag Bal, the quest always ends in the same bug (the boss with 0% health and unable to continue ...).

Do I have to repeat the quest again? Is not it possible to help me to continue without starting again? I'm losing a lot of time, money on repairs and potions.

The support service TESO replied me constructively:

"We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience of the bug you are experiencing in the God of Schemes quest when defeating Molag Bal. Our Game Experts may be able to grant you the quest without you having to continue to fight Molag Bal over. We can forward your case to our best Game Experts."

He continued pending a GM contact me in game but for now I have two days lost from playing ... is a shame because I love TESO

I have managed to complete the quest despite the bug!

I tell you. Tonight I tried again the final quest of the main story (God of Schemes) and again there was a bug in the part called "Vanquish Molag Bal" means the boss was at 0% health but remained as if by TESO continue to fight.

So what I've done has been retracing all the way back to the point in which the sacrifice of one of the partners was chosen. 3 companions were not slaughtered.

At that time, I have gone out of TESO (exit, logout not), I'm back in, and continued my quest.

I already tell, but I hope the bug gets fixed soon.

For me he goes down to like 10% HP, he never goes to 0 for me. But my problem is that I succed killing him and I have always succeded with it, no bug there. But when I load into The Colored Rooms my quest resets so I get stuck inside a that room and have to travel out to a friend/guild mate or to Cyrodiil. But I have to do the quest again until I get to the same point as before. Killed Bal, transfered into The Colored Rooms again and quest reset. I have been there for 3 weeks with my main character right now so I wait until a GM contacts me (have not happened yet) or the quest gets fixed (which takes so long time it seems like). But I am going to test something. Friends are getting the same problem as me and they are ranged players. Some friends have gone close combat with swords instead and completed it, so IF that's the case I will write back here. Will take some time though because I am level 43 with my other character.
