As most people will say, just accept the quests and do it when you get round to it

This doesn't always work as you only can have so many quest.

The most annoying quest giver is in Riften. He sprints after you throughout the town. Even into the basement of the mages guild.

That would be easier if we could have more than 25 quests ....

Turn quests off in an MMORPG? Are you sure you're playing the right game for you?

this game has way more than just questing tbh. Been playing more than a year and even have the silver skin but my quest log is mostly intact besides the guild and Skill point quests.

It's kind of funny creating a new character and then getting chased around by a mob of quest givers.

The problem is that they added all quest givers at the same place instead of spreading them.

Folks will say that, but it's a bad answer. Quest log has limited space and besides then you have quest markers pointing allover the damn map. I agree they really need an option to turn off DLC/expansion quests givers.

You walk into the starting area and are immediately molested by Stuga and a dozen other NPCs trying to jump you ahead in the story, its just a mess.

The special markers for main quests were a great addition. The intrusive quest givers are getting pretty out of hand.

I have to say, that if I were a noob and bought, say, Elswyr, I'd want too play what I choose to buy without going through the whole soul shriven and cadwell's thing first. Plus most of the newer stuff is a lot better than the old stuff. The fact players can jump right in has some timeline quirks, but overall is way better than making people grind through a whole mess of stuff to catch up.

    Mate, they’re all infested.

Try taking a walk around the Elden Hollow wayshrine, there’s about 4 separate audio cues that overlap one another, creating total confusion. There’s an elf telling us all about the tree, the Mirkwood woman trying to make me hunt mammoth meat, some Khajiit moaning about dragons ‘in your own homeland’, Uncle Tom Cobblers and all. And it’s happening every single time I go there.

And I’ve already done those quests. Been there, done that, saved your families, panic over, but apparently no one told these annoying NPCs.

Admittedly it’s not as bad as sea shanty chappie in Alinor, whose rendition of ‘My Starlight Bride’ makes me seriously regret ever saving his scrawny arse... if I’d known he was going to sing like that I’d have left him to the Sea Elves.

I don’t mind the occasional bit of dialogue, but not all the same dialogue, all the bloody time. And definitely not the singing chappie - put him out of my misery please.

I do not have these problems on my main, because I did all those quests, however, it is annoying on alts. I would like an option to silence these npcs for alts, if you have done the quests.

For the Starlight Bride elf, my suggestion is not to silence him, but to give him more songs or dialogues. Pirate jokes, something in the line.

Also it is very annoying that the banker assistant has the same line with the Coral Heart. Dude, I've done that years ago!

I miss the NPC gossip from other ES games. I noticed how the devs implemented this in Elsweyr, which is a good thing. But the assistants, bankers, traders, merchants, etc they should have some gossip from now an then.

Yeah, quests can be dealt with just by accepting them. Good luck getting rid of other annoying NPCs though.

can YOU BELIEVE it??? dragons in YOUR OWN homeland!!

These two jerks are especially obnoxious because they're essentially just an in-game commercial for the Elsweyr chapter and I absolutely DESPISE commercials. The best thing a company can do to guarantee that I don't spend any money on their products is bombard me with repetitive, unavoidable advertisements.

For a short period of time it might be fun if you are bored and got nothing else to do.
I find it mostly annoying and slightly stressful.

Vukhel Guard is fine because its normal city, preparing for Queen celebration, much less immersive is Davon's Watch, this city is actually on brink during siege and seeing that's some happy campers stay just outside city walls while few meters forward there is undead horde of ghosts and Covenant forces bombard city with fire is really not good.

Turn quests off in an MMORPG? Are you sure you're playing the right game for you?

spent last 2 years in pvp , you know how many quests i completed during these 2 years of playing every day?
you know these assumptions arent true for everybody some ppl seriously dont quest at all/unless its absolutely necessary but since you can buy skillines now i suppose questing is obsolete from a pvp player perspective

Just talk to him and his fellows and he will shut up (or even leave the place for good, can't remember) - it's a hidden part of the Coraldale quest.

Unfortunately, they come back. They do leave while your character is in the zone, but log back in, and your hit with that annoying song. You also can't stop him from singing or talking about himself until he is done.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Every step you take there is a quest giver crying out for attention, drives me nuts. Please for the sake of my sanity create an on option to turn quests off.

I'm surprised ZOS hasn't just simply created a area in the starter cities for these quest givers instead of plopping them down everywhere and making it a bit of a hassle to move around without being yelled at or pursued by an NPC.

DLC quests should be given out at different places in the game. That way they will feel more integrated into the world.

But if you really wanted to start it you can get the quest from your collections.

Because right now it's a friggin mess for any new player who gets ESO+ I would actually tell them not too if you can help it.

Its a starter city there are suppose to be a lot of quests for people leveling.

Does not help they seem to dump almost all the DLC starter quests in the starter cities though.

Omg is this the dude that sings next to the Clothing/Provisioner tables? I love that area for my crafting because it's all together but that guy singing drives me nuts. I wish I could turn him off, or send him back. It's like ZOS purposely set him up to start singing as soon as I walk in/log in. I have a habit of logging out there after cleaning my bags at the end of the night so when I log in the next day, he's the first damn thing I hear. And for some reason his singing is super loud and can be heard over everything else.

I do agree with the sentiment though. It stops being immersive when you're overhwhelmed with quest starters that throw themselves at you. It's not very obvious when you've been around a while and know how they slowly appeared, but just starting out it can be quite a bit. And we all know some of them are a little over the top. :D You wanna be enticed to follow a little, not have Stuga knock you over the head with a big ole hammer of exposition.

Well this and just the fact that you can't do all those quests all at once. People want to do the storylines in whatever order they please, but one at a time. They need to have one central place in towns to pick up these quests, maybe a bulletin board or something. Then maybe that leads me to go talk to this NPC instead of the NPC bothering me all the time. But let me choose when to go do those quests instead of bothering me about them.
