Free heal after stun animation [Bug]

Another alarming bug, this time involving stuns and a random ghost heal.
From what I can tell whenever a player gets stunned, they are granted some amount of health as shown in the video.
around (25%)

This seems to go off when you do not have cc immunity and are stunned.
-like in the video sometimes it went off by itself after the stun animation ended
-sometimes it would go off when i break free(effectively ending the stun animation)

After i already made the video I just went back and died to the mobs. When I went to get stunned again to keep testing I would no longer get the heal by itself, it would require me to cc break to get the heal.

Another test I just did, I took every possible buff off of my character, all skill points/food/attribute/gear/cp and the bug still persisted.

    I just did a few tests where I stood stationary and let mobs hit/stun me until I died, and compared the damage total vs my health pool + regeneration (744/tick) over the duration.

    Health + Healing - Damage = ??? (duration)
    19858 + 13392 - 32051 = 1199 (37.17)
    19858 + 11904 - 32506 = -744 (36.30)
    19858 + 17112 - 34391 = 2579 (46.63)
    19858 + 13392 - 30671 = 2579 (38.13)
    19858 + 19344 - 36744 = 2458 (55.90)
    19858 + 11904 - 29338 = 2424 (35.26)
    19858 + 11904 - 32506= -744 (35.20)

    I'm not really sure what causes the variances in totals but I would probably guess that it's due to lag (receiving extra hits after I was dead, or more than the killing blow being reduced in damage despite actually hitting for full damage). The ones that came in at -744 are due to a health regeneration tick after I was 'dead' (it's interesting that these are the only ones with accurate total damage vs health).

    If there is any health gain from breaking free or being stunned, it seems to be only temporary (perhaps degeneration after the fact with no net gain?), and there just isn't enough unaccounted healing for it to be a significant amount (25% would be a 5k heal... that much healing would make such a low damage fight never end).

    That said, looking closely at the combat log the game only seems to only calculate if you're alive/dead once every 2 seconds on the health regeneration tick... in some (admittedly) very limited testing I was able to take extremely large hits (which were reduced significantly or even to zero, as I had no health left) and heal before the health check killed me.

    That not dying and staying at 0% health is most likely due to an extreme mitigation bug happening that i linked already. But if these combined bugs make it to live, combat will be terrible. Burst windows are already drawn out enough. In pvp if you now have to deal with someone not dying to your burst entirely the only possible builds to run will be dot or proc builds. I mean so many players would be given a free pass back out of execute range after you do a full execute rotation perfectly.

    Possibilities:
    -It may be happening at above ~19500 max health for the defender
    -It may be a red cp
    -it may be when a certain number of red cp is slotted
    -it may be when any of the 75 red cp bonuses are active
    -It may be when attacking from stealth (doubt this one, but worth testing)

    I haven't done any serious testing to see if this is actually there, but I will say this. During several hours of duels last night, there were numerous times I witnessed myself receiving a burst heal randomly when being CC'd. It was almost as if I had my rally expire as soon as I was cc'd, or like I took an immov health pot while CC'd. I had no explanation for it at the time but it is interesting seeing other people experiencing this.

    One of several gamebreaking things happening on the pts right now with combat. I have a strong feeling the entire combat system is going to be destroyed when this patch goes live.

    keep in mind if you do testing:

    The ghost heal seems to be tied to/happen when stun animation ends, not when you gain cc immunity
    (proven by me being hit with soft cc from npc's not gaining immunity)

    Unless it is tied to warrior mundus or bosmer race I eliminated all other sources that i could think of.

    Sorry to bump this up you probably realized it already but i was watching this video at edge of my seat if you notice but you didnt :/ Your UI addon (ESO API or possibly ESO alone) is broken, it reduces your health by higher amount than damage received and then it compensates for it by healing you to your true health (probably after server tells it that is not your correct health).
    No addon reports any healing because no healing happens, thats your correct health value the UI just corrects to.

    Good find @SodanTok I wrote out one instance to see what is happening here. I believe this might just be an issue with eso since when testing with another player he still saw this ghost heal happen without addons enabled I believe, but I will test again. This could be from the slow pts server desyncing saying it hit twice, then correcting for some reason after the stun animation ends. This could also help figure out the live bugs with desyncing health bars causing you to be dead at 40%+ health.

    I have a feeling that this is the desync bug at work, im not sure about how or in what ways the block changes messed with anything. The pts servers have always been strange feeling/slow in a way, which can possibly just be exaggerating what we will see on live.

    From what i can tell on live and past pts gameplay, when you get health desynced down past 0 hp you actually die, it appears maybe someone at zos may have changed it and now it prevents you from dying all together. Which could be what we are seeing in the Call to Test thread by @DarkGottbeard
