    1) Unlike computer, I don’t ever have to worry about “will this game run on my system?” The answer is always yes.

    2) Unlike computer, I’m not a member of a user base that likes invoking supremacist sayings to justify it’s arrogant superiority complex (seriously, that’s disgusting and not at all funny)

    3) Unlike computer, it’s significantly more budget friendly in terms of hardware

    4) Unlike computer, I get built-in voice chat for socializing with people

    5) Unlike computer, I don’t have to deal with people who routinely cheat and gain advantage over other players (yes, I consider many add-ons cheating)

    6) Unlike computer, I get a crap ton of free games on it beyond just ESO including the fantastic Outer Worlds, the wonderful Wasteland 2, and many, many more.

1)Unless you are playing on a potato or not smart enough to turn your settings down, you dont have to worry about the game running on PC either. I dont know where console players get this idea you have to upgrade PCs every 5 minutes to game, you dont. I played on a $1000 computer i bought in 2009 until 2019. I had to replace a case fan and i upgraded the graphics card a total spent of $110. In the same time an Xbox sub alone would have costed you $600. Though how many generations of Xbox did we go through in the last 10 years? My PC was already 5 years old when this game came out, still played it fine with a slight upgrade and my wife still plays it on the same computer. We will probably get another 2 years or so out of it.

    2) The ones that say PC Master race are just trolling. Yes PC is better than consoles for gaming. Consoles are fine as long as you stay inside the makers box of rules( IE: you build the game for the console instead of a modern PC). Once you get outside of this box like ESO, they tend to struggle. PC players have a bit of animosity towards consoles players mostly because of ZOS. We invest in our gaming experience with higher end hardware but are still forced to play as if we were playing on super nintendo with few perks. So to a PC player it feels consoles are holding us back from experiencing the true potential of our systems and the game. Housing is a perfect example.

    3) It is upfront but long term the saying " you get what you pay for" is true. And if you figure 10 years of xbox sub plus the cost of that xbox VS my 2009 PC, i have spent about the same and my PC still performs better than all stock consoles ( until PS 5 is released).

    4) Thats awesome have you heard of the following programs: Teamspeak, Mumble, and Discord? I dont even need to be at home to be on voice chat.

5)In order for something to be cheating it would have to give an unfair advantage to certain players over others. Addons do not give unfair advantages. Add ons just help make a simple almost useless UI better.

    6) Are you being serious right now? There are over 2000 free to play games on Steam alone. 850 on the Microsoft store are free. That is over 2500 games on two sites/platforms and i can think of a dozen off the top of my head. Oh and Outer Worlds Is $45 with Gold.

I think you should spend more time learning your way around a PC. You seem to have some very inaccurate assessments of computers.

OP, you might as well have asked "what is the best colour?"
the comfort level per platform used varies per person greatly, but on that note

personally I think pc wins out due to the fact that it has a complete rebind option setup so you can set the controls to be whatever you want [for instance, if you're mad enough you could play eso with literal bananas if you were so inclined]

I'm honestly pretty confused. Why am I toxic? I mean, what did I do to warrant that adjective? and what can I do to prove that opinion is wrong?

I cannot speak for Cavedog, but if "PC=par" then consoles are sub-par. I mainly think this because they are stuck with the "good enough for now" user interface. Still, if there are performance issues because the game does not run well on the console, then the player has to wait for ZOS to change something. PC users have more freedom with both.

Fortunately, the question at hand is what platform is more comfortable to play, and that is going to be a console.

Cant even compare consoles to PC. I am a Playstation fan myself and playing ESO on pc with a DS4. Before playing on pc i was also not interested in addons. But addons are some serious stuff. Sure, you dont need combat or UI addons. But when you want to level a new character or a skill line you just use WritWorthy. When you in Cyrodiil, you use AssistRapidRiding. When you need that one absurd set piece for one of your builds, something like Infused Battle Acrobat ice staff, you use Tamriel Trade Center. And being able to play with K&m sometimes. Also being able to rebind controller inputs are extremely handy. These are kind of stuff that you dont know how much you need them until you have them. And i set up my pc with steam as a console. I just turn pc on, which is connected to my TV and i directly control it with my controller. Dont use k&m if i dont want to. It is not even slightly less comfortable than a console.

    1) Except for the bit back when I played on Xbox and the game crashed every five minutes for everyone on either server, and a huge spectrum of net connection quality.

"Will this game run on my system?" is a question you have to ask these days on console because a lot of devs' are pushing out games that don't run on these systems. Not acceptably anyway.

    PC (with XBOX controller)
I had to select PC with X-Box controller, but I use a PS4 controller. I love the better performance on PC, addons, graphics, and the ability to force the NVIDIA FXAA over using the in game AA option. I also run it in 4K to fix the AA situation for this game. Oh, and Reshade so I can make the game colorful, less washed out, and with better contrast. IDK why this game looks so bad as is with no Reshade.

Why controller? Well, this game is hell to play with a regular keyboard/mouse. I don't know how some people do it. I wasn't able to move around as freely while still using the same hand to press the tilde key for weapon swaps, press all the buttons during a rotation, and all of that at the same time. I managed when I first started the game because I was solo questing, but when I got into dungeons it felt clunky, like a hassle to do anything, and was hell on my hand. I was almost going to quit the game, until someone told me there was a gamepad mode. I tried it, and everything felt right. All the buttons were intuitive. I left everything on the default setup. I was even able to make the big track pad button on the PS4 controller my Push-To-Talk button for Discord. Now I can lay back and relax while I play ESO.

I chose not to actually vote, as OP was asking about "comfort" and I have no experience of consoles so can't compare. I've never had consoles (first PC in 1984....) and PC is what I know, and what works for me.

I would never want to play any game sitting on the couch with the game on a big tv screen. Not my thing at all (neither is reading in bed or watching tv ditto - in fact I don't watch tv). I have a very comfortable desk chair (back issues myself, but this is an Aeron so it's excellent). So I play (and do my other computer things - keep up client websites, check email, read forums! etc) sitting at my desk.

And my desk is in the living room. I have to have SOMETHING to immerse in to get away from husband watching crap tv 16 hours a day.... My god - the man watches news for FOUR HOURS every evening....

    Gah.

PC is better for a multitude of reasons.
    1) Performance is better on a PC. Consoles are not built to handle resource heavy games like ESO. They arent easy to upgrade and what upgrades you can do are extremely limited. The game constantly evolves and requires new and better hardware to perform the same. Though Xbox seems to handle the game better than PS.
    2) Graphics can be adjusted on PC to improve performance. Not so much on console.
    3) Add Ons. For all those features that should have been in game...but werent.
    4) PC allows for a multitude of input device options. You can use controllers, mouse and keyboard, gamepads, hell you can probably play with a joystick and steering wheel.
    5)PC typically gets updates first

    Well said.

In general with the exception of racing games, and some made for console 3rd person games PC has better control for anything. Also ESO targeting system goes with FPS style which another point for the mouse+keyboard.

Even more PC let use a huge number of addons which is great. Some even cheat-like. But modding for other games also much more powerful on PC.
