What is wrong with CC's

I can never break them - frequently CC'd with a full stam bar and it takes 2 secs to break it; then straight into another CC.
I'm getting hit with CC's mid dodge roll,( even dodge-able ones ) Shuffle / Forward Momentum isn't removing them.
Yesterday in a BG i got CC'd 4 times in a row and used a full stam bar just breaking them.

I'm guessing a lot of the issues are lag related on the server side BUT; CC's are inconsistent!
Some such as vamp drain and fossilise are annoying as hell to break anyway.
Also why is it some classes have those spam able undodgeable CC's anyway, and a class such as the Magwarden will soon have none when they kill vamp drain.

It makes for an extremely frustrating game play experience,

The issue i'm seeing is that CC's are to easy to use, they should be conditional (such as off balance) - more than one action should be required to CC someone, Such as ZOS have done with the Wardens Cliff Racer, A target over 7 meters away will be set off balance; and then of course they can be CC'd with a heavy attack.

    It’s because break free has been poorly implemented.

    You gain cc immunity for successfully breaking free, and it’s interruptible. You’ll see a lot of premades who lead with a stun because of this, the first cc will hit and the following CCs will stop you from being able to break free.

    I think the devs are aware, likely too lazy to fix it because it would involve applying cc immunity on each cc ability rather then coding just break free ability even though it often doesn’t work. The logical solution would be a stun landing applying cc immunity immediately but it’d be work.

    Yeah, for sure. There's no skill in this setup at all.

    This is ESO 'combat' in a nutshell

    CC - Drain - Burst - Dead


    And it's vast majority one sided. You get chain CCd, you cannot respond.

    It's a cardinal sin in gameplay design to take away control from the player and not give them the opportunity to react. NOTHING makes the experience more FRUSTRATING than that.

    I main as a Healer. I get focused in PvP non stop and rarely get to react.

    This is a common gameplay experience for me. This is why I detest ESO PvP.

    If I mained a DPS instead, this might be more interesting. But when your role is support and your life is all about being stunlocked and bursted, it's really not a fun experience at all.

    But that sort of feedback is nothing new and ZOS are not going to bother changing it as support roles are in the minority in this game. The don't care about them in PvE, they care even less about enjoying the experience in PvP.

    Simple 'solution' - can't beat em, join em - or opt out.

    I do the very bear minimum in PvP I can get away.

    I have more fun fishing in ESO as a Healer than PvP. Enough said.

    CCs are incredibly buggy, some break instantly, whilst others like knockback and fossilise seem to take 2-3 seconds and multiple attempts to actually break. Topped off with the snare that is caused by gap closers that snare immunity doesn’t stop and you’ve got s perfect mixing pot for everyone to end up playing in a large group or a zerg, which cyrodil seems to be.

    I like it when my character does the break free herky jerk like 15 times but never actually breaks free. He actually does part of the animation many many times but can't break free. Same thing on executioner/reverse slice, starts the animation but never completes it, over and over. 0 damage, yay. Lag sucks.

    Quoted for truth. This is 20% of the reason I don't care for PvP. The other 80% is gankers.

He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

    Funny thing is you can even break break free solo. I’ve seen people use that delayed stun sorcs have or meteor and combine it with fire clench/Invig drain.

    The worst has to be the Necro ground fear though. It refreshes every 2 seconds and with heavy lag it takes more then 2 seconds to break free, the result is you get chain cc’d.

    It’s why ball groups clutch on cleanse, without it Cyro would be unplayable.

    It IS unplayable, and even purge only goes so far to help.

    The group I currently run with has 2 "main purgers" and 2 "off purgers" - in a raid that's usually about 10 people (12 max) - and even then this is sometimes not nearly enough.

    We can stand in 6 oils pouring like it is a warm shower - but when we have 3 dozen zerglings spamming random stuns at us, we're hosed. And no, it's not a L2P issue - it's a broken game issue, where abilities stop working, you can't break free, and "CC immunity" doesn't do jack.

    And even with the so-called "immunity" you can still get CCed and rubberbanded halfway across the objective; seems that getting leaped does that a lot.
    Break free from the leap CC, go somewhere else, then several seconds later you are suddenly yanked back to where you got leaped - does not matter that there are 5 walls and 2 doors in the way, nope, logic is overrated.

    The best is when you try to break free with 10 k stamina and it tells you not enough stamina, like, wut?

    What brings you to the glorious idea that for some reason you won't be perma CC'd?
    Do you think the others just won't use any CCs on you?
    Just like everyone else you'll get knocked across the map by people spamming javalin and other knockbacks

    The Yank-back is the worst!

    Usually instadeath since by then where you were...is swarming with hostiles
    4 GOs, and General, and bunches of prefects etc-- all classes...I've wasted a lot of time in PVP over the last 8 years

    Yup Only thing that do work. Leap and fossilize are the most broken animation CCs. Just no words for magdks crutching on that combo.

    I've been using Flame Reach on Magblade, and it's not as bad as I thought. Idk why it has the range of an ant's antenna and ALSO the damage of a hose on "mist" setting, but for classes that lack a ranged stun it still catches people by surprise. And throws them off cliffs :~p
