My alts do everything. Quest, skyshards, explore, achievements. That's why I play alts. They are a character all their own.

TBH, Questing is the most enjoyable way to gain skill points. Sure, the skyshard farm can be a bit quicker, but that is more a grind.

Pretty much this. I quest for skill points. Grab shards that are convenient. By the time I hit level 50 I have enough SPs to be viable in competitive trials outside of finishing levling sklls/morphs enough.

On my main character, I finished my Home Faction and only ran Main Storyline Quests for Caldwell's Silver & Gold in other Factions. It's been some time now and I'm going back to Finish All the other Quests on my Alts who started off in those Factions so I can get the Dyes from Zone Quest Achievements.

My main has done all Skill Point Quest lines and Collected all the sky shards but I needed to change things up for all the little side quests. While I obviously love my main, I needed some variety bc I was getting bored...

I got all the skyshards in the game (so far) so I just buy them on alts as needed.

On my main I hunt every skill point.

On alts just the bare minimum number of skill points needed for them to do daily writs at max level for all the crafts, I still make a point of leveling up their class skills and a weapon skill line, occasionally re spec them and play on them.

But I always end up going back to my main just can't be bothered getting my alts as fleshed out as my main just to do largely the same content.

I'm technically not a long longtime player, but I do quests on alts too, simply because I love questing. Skillpoints may have something to do with it too. I also collect skyshards on them

I'm not a completionist. The journey is FAR more fun than any given destination. All my characters explore, dabble a bit in the MQ, do other quests I find pertinent to their own backstories, grab skyshards as needed, etc.

Same here. My characters generally follow different paths through the game, but they all follow the same basis of solo/co-operative overland questing including dolmens and delves etc, and without any farming of any kind. They'll generally only do a dolmen or delve once, unless there's a quest or event involved.

I'm never, in any MMO, remotely interested in any kind of "endgame". I generally find the first third of the leveling process the most fun as I'm really developing the character, followed by the second third. The final third in any MMO I generally find to be a rather tedious and repetitive grind, and altogether more of a chore.

    Oh noes

Can't even imagine doing all those quests again :o

    Ofc not!

I sometimes take a stroll with a random alt for about 15 mins and collect skyshards though. They collect all slowly

That's exactly how I am. I tend to prefer my "lowbies" to the high levels (like I have so many of those.... hah.... I just got my second account NA main to 50 plus a bit of CP last week....) I will usually opt to play a level 20, do some exploring, try a delve, run a dolmen (anywhere but Alik'r!) etc.

I'm such a stick in the mud I guess.
