How far you went with crafting? 
My main is all maxed out with motifs, research etc but for my alts I gotta say I started pretty dedicated but halfway through I am a little overwhelmed, I am curious how do you do?
It is of course a stable way of income but...

I don't know but I saw people asking for motifs for their alts so I assume they do
I have my main crafting every day, trying to level my alts crafting skills too but it got a bit tedious, so I might just respecc to Merchant crafter myself 1 -

✭I hear you OP !! It just takes some organization and knowing how to achieve master crafter quicker. A crafting guild, lots of gold, and knowing what to do for your specific crafting needs is an important start.
When I started on my crafting endeavors, I divided all the crafting between two characters. Since jewelry takes the longest, I used a separate character for that when it first came out.
On all my characters I have alchemy maxed and provisioning in the crafting skill lines
Just one master crafter of all gear and one master jeweler I guess you would call that one. I have done this on pc and console, both EU (still working on jewelry) and NA.
I don’t feel the need to learn all the motifs, since a majority of them I find ugly and useless for my needs.

BisDasBlutGefriert✭✭✭✭✭I split the crafting between my characters for now. My magsorc does woodworking, my stamdk (main) does the clothing/provisioning/jewelry, and my other tankier stamdk (old main) does blacksmithing/alchemy/enchanting.

Do dailies on all other characters to max crafting but only to do dailies for writs1 -

✭✭✭Only main crafter (1 char)why would you want to spend all those points on more than one character? Everything from other characters adventuring that needs to be de-conned is tossed into the bank, when the bank is full, the master crafter does the job since he's got the best return on mats. He's also the one who has all the motifs and all the extra traits learned.
Once a single character has earned all this, why would anyone need another character to do the same thing? There's no benefit to having more than one.

One Crafter who knows almost everything (one motif and some furniture recipes are on the list to get). I have two other crafters who know 8 traits, 6 who know most motifs and a smattering of traits. All my characters are max level in alchemy and provisioning so I don't have to swap characters when one needs food or potions. And all of them are at level 10 in woodworking, tailoring and smithing but only with enough skill points spent so I can farm top level mats when I'm out with any of them. Only one, my grand master crafter, has spent the skill points to max out all 7 crafts, and that's who I use when I need to make or upgrade items."We have found a cave, but I don't think there are warm fires and friendly faces inside."1 -

A few alts with more or less maxed crafting skills. One is 50 but no research done, the others all beween 15 and 50. I use them usually to collect surveys but not all year long every day.1 -

Serious question: what's the advantage to learning motifs on all of your characters? I understand maxing skills and research and the benefits from that, but I can't think of a reason that would make learning motifs on all chars worth the time+money1 -

✭✭✭✭✭Because of the way motifs are handled, I really have focused on one character to be my main crafter. That character also happens to be my main.
I have all of the crafting trees fully maxed out on that character. Plus all of my dps trees are set up, and I still have 34 skill points to spare.
If motifs become account wide I will level up my crafting on more characters, but until then I will just focus on the one character.2 -
