Well. You can pair it w Zaan for magsorc. It will be good against stamdk tank. Oh, wait. Stamdk will prob use it against you also. Both can stare each other firing Zaan for 10 secs.

Doesn't even work for all fire abilities yet. Not impacting wall/blockade or flames of oblivion.

For Zaan, learn2purge or break tether.

And yeah, I don't main magDK but I love that a class would have its own sets. It's actually the case now, magDK already has its setup that works best but those sets can be used effectively with any other class. With Elf Bane's buff, it could be the beginning of the end the "slap FGD+MS on all mag classes" meta. Those sets will still perform very well mind you.

They just need to do the same for every class. I'd a different bis setup for almost all classes. I can already see Scathing Mage becoming meta for mag builds that use Force Pulse in PvE (looking at you magsorc!).

Stamplar seems to have deadly strike right now. StamDK can also use that set effectively. I want to see more of this, to every class their bis set!

This is a small but important part of build diversity. Instead of the same meta set combinations on all mag classes, there should be sets that play to class strengths in a way that doesn't work on others. Of course it goes far beyond that, but hey, baby steps.
