[Suggestion] Imperial City "Free-for-all"

I feel like, IC is in that weird spot, where solo does not make alot of sense if some groups are down there and grouping does not make sense if only solo players run around in there..

Since it is, it's own instance now, there is really no reason to force the alliance thing.

Just make it an "lawless" moshpit!

I do not mean like a gamemode. I just suggest removing alliance things in there and prevent grouping!

    Its not completley lorebreaking, and it would add a fun thing into the game! And we do not really have a "solo pvp experience" outside of "1vx". Sure you can argue battlegrounds will be solo, but they really arent. You are still in a team.

    I think that's a really tough sell considering they MUST win the IC because otherwise the giant daedric contraption right above is going to suck all of Tamriel into Oblivion.
    It's more reasonable to make it a PvE zone where all alliances are trying to push the daedra out and save the world.

    You got a point there, not gonna lie.

    I still feel like IC in its current state is not where it should be.. I feel like it has so much potential. But noone really seems to want to go there.. Maybe because of the reasons mentioned above... I dont know..

    Groups and alliances give players choices. Defend. Chase. Explore.

    What you're asking for is basically a rotating battle royale without any of the balancing features of a royale. People play royale games because there's a chance to win even on solo mode. Everybody starts with nothing but a pickaxe. Teaming up in solo mode is a reportable offense. There are set, stable, and transparent population numbers. You know what you are up against.

    Make IC a royale, and it's the people who sync gear and rally on their discord channel who are going to troll at base doors all day every day until every other player is sick of it and just does something else in the game instead. Why be punished like that?

    My guilds all run events in IC. They're fun, challenging, and definitely help make individuals better PVP players. Making it a free for all won't help. It will kill anything that is still attractive about IC, from its crazy close quarters group battles to just enjoying how beautifully designed the entire sprawling zone is.

    IC is far from dead. It's probably some of the best story and zone content in the game. It just takes more planning than other PVP content, which is why it's not constantly capped. But I'd say balanced and well-equipped 12 person groups are the best way to experience it, not as a solo player and not even as a huge zerg.

    So long as they clear out all the NPC's and PVE quests, no earning Tel var, aside from what players choose to bring with them to use that imperial imperial physique set at their own risk.

    And so long as you have a set time before you able to attack or be attacked by members of your own alliance, so you can't just sit outside the door to your own factions base and kill people coming out the doors/camp surface exits.

    Players would use discord to coordinate groups and the friends that can keep out of each others AoE will dominate. I like Imperial City as but wouldn't mind an event or another instance on Imperial City with these changes. The no groups thing though probably isn't going to work well. To many ways to work together even when not in a group.

    No offense but without even a mild expectation that it would increase activity in IC Zos has no reason to make the change. OP does not even try to suggest it would bring more interest. Probably because there is no reason to expect it would.
