Feedback - Stun issue for magicka characters.

While i love most of this patch and specifically the glacial presence buff, there has been one issue I need to mention regarding magicka characters stun situations.

we are now down to 1 somewhat reliable non-class stun in the form of flame clench which very limiting for builds, down from 2 with vampire drain unfortunately the knockback is not always desirable. While I recognise that vampire drain was quite a cancer on the PvP community, we didn't have many options left to use for stunning. Shock clench was the best stun that Magden and Magcro had for a considerable amount of time and that was removed some time ago. All I ask is that we see changes to class stuns to make them more reliable for offensive play, as right now Arctic Blast and Bone Totem are defence-based AoE stuns that aren't very effective in a lot of scenarios, as Arctic Blast has a short duration and a small radius, and bone totem is a static ground AoE, meaning people can run out of it within the 2 seconds it takes to fear someone. Either class stuns should be changed so that they can be used more effectively in more scenarios like with the Arctic Blast 4.0 idea (which might require more time than you have at the moment), or we should see the return of a stun like shock clench on a magicka ability that doesn't require us to make significant changes to our build, that reliably stuns a single target. No cast time or delay for example.

potential targets for new stuns:

Frost Clench and Shock Clench, if you add a stun to Frost and Shock Clench, I'd suggest adding a unique secondary effect them, along with changing Flame Clench. Shock Clench already has an AoE effect so that that could stay. This change would ensure that all destruction staff users will have an adequate single target stun to use regardless of the state of their class-specific stun.

Inevitable Detonation (perhaps change name and functionality).


I understand that this might just be the first week and that you might have plans already to solve this issue, but in case you aren't aware, this post might help you.

    Flame Clench needs to get a range increase to at least 20 meters to be viable. 15 Meters is just a bad joke.

    Yeah magicka lacks proper stun.. You need to use stun poison or maybe this new set
    Kjalnar’s Nightmare – Monster Mask
    1 – Adds 129 Spell Damage
    2 – Dealing damage with a Light Attack puts a Bone stack on your enemy for 5 seconds. You can only apply 1 stack every 1 second.At 5 stacks, an undodgeable skeletal hand attacks your enemy after 1 seconds, knocking them into the air and stunning them for 3 seconds, or dealing 14500 Magic Damage if they cannot be stunned. An enemy that has reached 5 stacks cannot gain Bone stacks for 3 seconds.
    But this monster set can be still blocked i think

    Set looks an interesting substitute. Not good enough though. We need several reliable stun skills.

    Put the stun back on lightning shock, when I run an inferno staff on my magCro I love knocking people further away from my blastbones and out of my colossus ulti

    The biggest annoyance about stun for me is that it's simple for stamina builds to stun-drain my stam to where I can't break out, unless I'm a vamp ONLY for mist form (which is useless if it's not on that bar) but as a Warden my way to stun-drain stamina is... easily avoidable and only procs on NPCs.

    Plus my "burst" is easily avoidable in small groups, and pets easily absorb ranged damage.

    How about we fix pets being used as damage shields? If pets are mostly unkillable in PvE, sure let them live in PvP too! But they can't be targetable. No more deploying heal chicken to absorb Cliff Diver.
