The Problems So Far With Block

1) The Shield icon that displays for block should be adjusted to indicate when you're ACTUALLY blocking as it is on Live. The lack of the shield icon specifically on the timeframe when Block is ACTUALLY active after its implementation so long ago has confused many players but otherwise it's shown in the above video

2) Holding block while barswapping feels atrocious. Timeframe for being vulnerable to heavy attacks/channeled abilities is too large and too punishing, probably going to be a nightmare for many especially in PvP and for newer PvE tanks. Barswapping too many times or other factors including getting CC'ed while you're holding Block (while barswapping or whatever) can bug out block to the point you have to RELOG for it to work again. Hopefully will be fixed on PTS.

Lastly, while animation canceling skills with block still work, it feels like some skills are allowed more leeway in terms of how little of their animation is played. This can be both good and bad in my opinion although at the moment it feels very clunky.

    New Blocking just does not work.

    And not saying this just because of hating changes.. it is absolutely horrifyingly bad in reliability in both pve and pvp after testing.

    When changes happened to Sprint, it worked well.

    New Block needs to be reverted back to current Live model, until the new version is reliable and not bugged also. Please ZOS, playing like this feels really bad. :(

    Agree, there´s no reason to adjust something that wasn´t a problem to begin with. Let it stay as it is on live. Change to such crucial mechanics 5-6 year into the game isn´t going to do anyone any good. It feels clunky, non-responsive and will have a huge negative impact on both PvE and PvP. Please reconsider this change, it´s absolutely horrible.

    If the issues was what I read, that blocking is causing lag because too many people are block cancelling.
    Why don’t they just add a penalty to block canceling. Eg - Blocking with less than 30k max health adds 80% to your next Stam or Mag skill.

    Why don’t they just add a penalty to block canceling. Eg - Blocking with less than 30k max health adds 80% to your next Stam or Mag skill.

    it also happened to me once when I was testing block I noticed my stam recovery got locked on 0 and fixed only when I traveled to another zone, also happened a second time but after a long time trying to block .
    and it's not just visual my stamina was not recovering at all .
    this is really bad even if it happens very rarely .

    Thank you for the testing. I am on holiday and can't see anything myself, was searching forums to see info about new block mechanics. Hard to see anything constructive other than zis is terribur revert it.

    People just don't seem to know how to give feedback. While i agree it can't go live with these problems, i don't see the reason behind all the revert qq. Give them feedback, give it louder and tell them to fix. This is the first week yet. If they can't fix it for the next few weeks then you can start qqing about revert.

    Just my two cents.

    This looks absolutely horrid. I was hoping this upcoming patch wouldn't ruin the game, like some of the others have done.
