We now have an Aoe taunt

They fixed the Tormentor set to work with the aoe portion of explosive charge. This means that Templars can now taunt all enemies in a 6m radius of a target. This is honestly not that big of a change in my opinion, you have to give up a 5 piece set as well as being the templar class.

    I will test this now but in the past Tormentor only worked with charge abilities, not leaping ones like WW, nb, or dk's gap closers.

    Nice catch. If they refuse to make a skill to do this, then the cost of a 5 piece makes sense.

    WW's pounce still does not proc the Tormentor set. The two hander charge skill Stampede also continues not to proc the set with it's aoe portion.

    Makes sense since it's not direct damage, but an aoe. Reprocing the taunt on dot damage would be busted. After 3 continuous taunts, doesnt an enemy become untaunted?

    I believe that over taunting only applies when multiple people taunt the same target. Also the set description does not specify direct damage.

    Shame, really no reason not to make this set work with WW leap.

    From my testing one person can no longer over taunt a target. However two or three players can.

    If a target is taunted 3 times by more than 2 people in 5 seconds then the target will be immune to taunts from other sources for 15 seconds. This will cause them to remain focused on the source of that third taunt for the 15 seconds unless the target dies. Or... eeeek the source dies, then the target will rampage for the rest of the immunity.

    I've discussed it with some people on discord, templar tanks seem to like it while everyone is ambivalent about it. So overall a good change.
    Now if ZOS had fixed it when I reported this bug 3 years ago, I would have praised them for it....

    Because it's pretty niche. It will be good for people who really wanted aoe taunt, but in general there are more beneficial sets.
    It would be more interesting if it was a monster set, not 5 pieces.

    It's because you must give up a 5 pc set for a thing you don't even need. AoE roots or Frost Blockade is more than enough for dealing with packs of mobs. Sure, AoE taunt might be a nice thing for beginners but later you will only be asked to wear something more group oriented. I am sure that once the players get better even they alones will think to themselves "like, do I really need this?".

    This really doesn't affect the game significantly. "Hardcore" groups will never give the set serious consideration since they would need to give up a buff/debuff set to run it. Tanks who are just playing for fun will probably find it a useful tool for making their life easier. The only issue is that someone who relies on this combo for controlling aggro will have more difficulty transitioning if they want to start tanking for a more serious group that requires optimized support sets. Mostly harmless.
