I played around with it for a few minutes. It sucks. I'm gonna skip this and wait for the next redesign.

You strike ground with damage aoe and summon 3 good looking stone orbs, than each use - you send it to attack enemy like before. Looks very good, do not know how it works on dps, but realy good animationthis time.

I tested this on my unarmed monk character, since she's using Stonefist on live as her spammable. This is all based on memory since I didn't think to take notes or screenshots.

Stonefist had about a 5k tooltip for both the AOE and the ranged attack. For comparison, her tooltip for Crushing Weapon was around 6k. Stonefist also cost about 1k more Stamina, if I remember correctly, though this is somewhat mitigated by the DK stamina refund passive.

The first attack is a point blank AOE with fairly short range. This attack summons 3 floating rocks.
The next attacks consume 1 floating rock to hit a target at range.
The attack that uses the last rock also stuns the target.
Once you're out of rocks, start over from the top with an AOE.

So 25% of the time, this is a short range AOE, 75% of the time it's a long range single target attack.
Why would you use this skill? Because it looks really freaking cool now. That's why I'll be using it on my monk.

I'm not sure if I'd use this on a character who was supposed to be optimized.
Is it worth eating the cost of the PBAOE in order to throw the 3 stones while you're fighting distant enemies?
Someone smarter than me will have to answer that.

Not at home but it looks like 3 little orbs from Scalecaller peak with size of your head fly near you. With better coloring - more orange like flame in it, like from flames of obliviion.

It's horrible to use. Why on earth they would think it needs a cast time on the initial and then after every 3 is beyond me. It's meant to be a DPS skill and the bread and butter of a stamina DK spammable and now it's such a pain and feels so clunky.
