ZoS seems to have put a lot of thought into this one and I think they are doing their best to meet their fan base.

My main toon was a vamp for a bit, but I got rid of it. I hate the way they look.

I still have two vamp alts, but I think the mag blade will be the only one after a while. I think the sorc is gonna go normie again.

Friend of mine got infected that way just before the holidays. Was wandering around in the dark in Bangkorai or Rivenspire, don't remember which now for sure.

Nope, my magden is a werewolf even though I can't use it, which sucks. The werewolf gives me a somewhat druid feel of shapechanging even if it's just for RP. I refuse to play a vampire just for stats...

Also, there's a couple of werewolves that hang out near Silaseli in Bangkorai, only during the deep night hours. I jumped over some stone pillar ruins and right into them one night. Beat it out of there just in case they were the biters! I don't know anyone who has weres, but I wonder if those might produce the condition if you stick around to get bit.

I've always enjoyed the concept of vampires. However, their implementation in ESO never caught on with me. And the over-the-top bite animation is just silly and just too dumb.

Nopes, I've been a vampire pretty non-stop since launch. Even have vampire alts, leveled mainly through writs, for the purpose of giving out more free bites, ofc only asking they pay it forward

I might have to cure a char just out of curiosity for the new vamp quest though

Yes, this still works. I ran into some bloodfiends last night. Funny because I was going to ask for a bite in zone chat but decided to check out a spot I know they spawn since it was night time in game. And they were there. Love it. This is now my 18th character, and I believe off the top of my head that 15-16 of them are vamps.

I've been debating if I want to make a vampire character or not going back far before Elsweyr. With Elsweyr I was able to make some more darker characters and with this announcement I decided to pull the trigger on making one of them a vampire. Currently waiting for the new moon in game to hunt down a spawn.

Hah! Yeah I'm exited and rearing to go to check out the changes, I will be running on PTS at first given chance once it launches

Just think that giving someone a feel-good start in the game, being met by a friendly (even if furry and bloody) face, and the experience of the quest can shape the feel of the rest of their gametime. Participating even if just in a small way in making/maintaining a friendly, fun, and helpful community by FAR outweigh those couple thousand gold in value.

We all log on to feel better neh? <;D

I'm one of those with several vampires waiting to see what the actual changes will be. I have two I'm already considering curing for a combination of cosmetic/rp reasons after I did race/name changes on them. As it stands, I'm already not fond of the reversal of feeding (as in, feeding to get stronger). Never used the mods that did that for the single player games, probably never will.

I'll wait. If I don't like the changes, I'm curing all my vampires (after they each bite one person).

I had 1 vamp very briefly, then went to the priest for a cure. 😬 I just can’t do ugly monster on any of my characters, which is the same reason I took all points out of the werewolf skill tree on my 1 werewolf.

I disliked werewolf/vampire in single player TES games too. Just say no to monsters. 🙈🤷‍♀️

I almost did. I almost remade a new magblade to be vamp, but then I decided to finally level my werewolf and fell in love with it. Now instead of rping as a vamp through skyrim I will be a werewolf vamp hunter.

That's what I'm already doing with those two. I switched from the Arctic Rime skin to the fishy skin when it came out, but I'm tired of both looks. That and there's the little issue where vampirism no longer fits with either character's stories. They were just mindless tanks before, but now that I changed them into characters from my RP, it's just not the same.

Yes, they do still spawn. You can use the Map Points addon, if you are on PC, for the location. They are not easy to find though as they only spawn from the crescent moon to new moon and the next crescent in game month. Also I use https://esoclock.uesp.net/ to check on the best time. For example, the current game time is:
Turdas, First Seed 5 2E 606 17:52 and Moons are waxing Crescent (18% Full)
So from about 23:50 to 01:15, the Bloodfiends could spawn. The problem is, if they're killed, they might not spawn at that spot for a game month seeing as there are about 3 spawn points for them. Usually if I succeed in finding them, I let them kill me, res and move away so they are available for anyone else in the area. The same system works for WW but obviously Gibbous-Full-Gibbous moons instead. I seem to find werewolves easier.

I have one vampire, it’s doesn’t fit in the theme of my other characters.

I didn’t create a Khajiit for the cat expansion

I didn’t create an Altmer for the snooty elf expansion

I didn’t create a Dunmer for the rude af elf expansion

I make characters not trends.

Also!

I’m happy to bite guildies that need it, I’m happy for them if they’re excited.
