Hello,
First off, I know that this topic has been open for years now, constantly appearing and disappearing from the front page of the forums. This only proves how much spears, pikes, tridents, halberds, poleaxes, scythes, voulges and other polearms really are desired. Just about any game that has polearms, I had a character with said polearms. The aesthetic is just different, and speaking of which, NOT many games have spears and polearms. You already have a great opportunity here.
We all know that currently, we have no 2-handed critical chance based weapon to support even larger build diversity. I understand that Two-Handed weapon skills would need their animations specifically fit for spears, in addition to the traditional weapons we already have, but I would think of it as something new, fresh and interesting. An additional 10% critical chance can make or break a build, and when I think about it, not only does it look badass and seamlessly fits certain races, but it would allow PvE and PvP players both to experiment a bit more and see how far can they really take their "unorthodox" max crit builds.
In the end, polearms are one of the oldest weapons known to mankind, and although primitive looking, they can be quite deadly whilst considered useless by many uneducated (which has been proven to be false by historians and reenactors many times in the past). It's almost a shame and a missed opportunity not to see those weapons in this world, especially with Argonian, Khajiit, Breton and Elven cultures as they are portrayed in the game.
They were in Morrowind, we as a community added them to other Elder Scrolls games. We love them and we NEED them.
Won't you please at least consider it? Many thanks to you. @ZOS_MattFiror @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_BrianWheeler (don't know who else to tag - suggestions welcome)
Sincerely,
A player that loves polearms.

I've already suggested that before elsweyr too. That one was met with next to no responses, but I completely agree. In fact, we should get BOTH a magicka weapon and polearms at the same time.
Considering there are three stamina weapon lines designed for damage and only one for magicka I would think the more likely next weapon line will be magicka based.
New weapons like spear never gonna happen becasue zos need to do a lot of motifs, monster weapons and other outfit styles for 1 weapon... too much effort.
1h and rune makes onle sense because its only sword so styles already exist for this one.
We can have them both at the same time...Hello,

So if you are not asking for a weapon skill line, what you are asking for is a skin, did i miss something?
