Been looking for a detailed ESO podcast for some time and think it'd be a great thing for the community.

Any plans to push this as a podcast on Spotify, Apple etc? I can't watch Youtube at work

I listened to the whole podcast (video? podcast.). Was really enjoyable going on a nostalgia train and the format of the content was really great.

I wholeheartedly agree that PvP needs more content creators, and have been considering putting some content together myself.

Listened to the whole thing - really great to see an interview with Jack, he's an awesome guy and a great creator and i think he made for a great first interview candidate!

Alot of what he said i can relate too as well - agree with alot of the points brought up and topics discussed! Also was cool to hear about some of the pvp stuff in the game before my time; awesome to take a look into the way the game was

If you look closely you can actually see Pat's head growing in mass the longer the video goes on. Like I think he added at least a pound and a half to his gapper in this interview.
A few more episodes and he'll be laying his head sideways during the chats.

Always get a bit nostalgic when old-timers talk about the good old days.

I don't think it's a coincidence that when you listen to experienced and very good players talk about the game, their perspective is completely different from the supposed know-it-alls that come onto these forums screaming for nerfs to "overperforming" skills.

Listen to this interview and hear what these two have to say about Jabs and stuns. Experienced players easily avoid jabs and can't be properly stunned because they always have the stam to break free. "Overperforming" skills don't stop them from wiping the floor with PuGs who are cant comprehend people can be that skilled

By the way Jack and Patrick, the quote you are looking for is from science fiction writer Arthur C. Clarke: "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." The ESO equivalent is "Any sufficiently good player is indistinguishable from Cheat Engine and Macros."

At any rate, it has become harder and more frustrating to actually try and play something different or interesting or be motivated to make content because ZOS listens to the whiners and has both nerfed and homogenized everything. How exactly are players supposed to stand out from each other when all of their skills follow the same parameters of doing X damage costing Y resources, we all have access the same buffs, and anything that might distinguish you is put on the nerf chopping block because it "over-performs" or "fits outside our standards"? You can't. We just get this homogenized cookie-cutter mess where everyone gravitates towards the one thing either ZOS hasn't nerfed yet or made some wild change to. The devs either don;t realize or don;t care that they have sucked much of the creativity out of what was once and still could be an amazing and dynamic game.
