I'm just curious about the state of the game. This is a PvP perspective. I don't care about the balance in PvE since it hasn't been challenging in quite some time.

✭✭This isn't real life can respawn in this game just because someone kills your character. that the class or skill set the other player used should be nerfed to the ground. Have to disagree; Templars - while good at other roles - are clearly best suited as healers. I say this as someone that mained a Templar Tank for most of my play time. The Dragonknight kit is clearly geared more towards tanking. IMO Wardens are good in all roles and they definitely Tank better than the Templars.

Somewhere✭✭✭✭TemplarThis is really a case of "if I have to choose". With few exceptions (like magnb) I feel most of the specs are pretty close, but I feel templar sticks out the most. They hit really hard, heal off a lot of damage and can get decent tackiness. These are all the things most players want in pvp. Any adjustments imo would need to be minor.
I will admit my two clases I play are magdk and a little of magsorc so that bias does spill over a little.1 -

sure all the classes aim to be able to be good at DPS.
ESO classes don't operate like WoW - where each class clearly has a designated role.
In ESO class identity pertains to the fact that each class plays a role differently than the other.
A Warden Healer and Templar Healer don't play the same
A DK Tank and Nightblade tank don't play the same
playing a DPS character with any of the classes is going to be a different experience
This class design philosophy has become more prominent with the Warden and Necromancer.
So expect the Base game classes to be geared for mainly one role while future classes will be aimed to be versatile to fill a role depending on how you build them0 -
