Could u hotspot off your phone? I have done that when away from home on a little laptop. Had all setting at bare bones. Admittedly that was just to fish but I don't recall combat being an issue when I had to. Worth a try?

I can't imagine why one would need to use the Group Finder.

The GF was necessary in the years when the Undaunted Event was tied specifically to RANDOM dungeons, but that tie is no longer present and seems very unlikely to return.

FG1 was an example. Having to grind ANY dungeon literal hundreds of times to get some of the many weapon style pages is in no way an enjoyable event concept. The drop rates are too bad for it to be enjoyable, which is why people have submitted to the idea of grinding. Actually running dungeons you enjoy, that take longer, is just too risky. I'm not asking for style pages to be spoon-fed to us, but there are 20 pages. You get 5 guaranteed. That is 15 to collect if you wanna finish it -- 12 if you use all your event tickets to buy some. When the event was up I didn't get a single one in around 20-30 runs. I knew some people who ran more and got one or two. Most got none. They are officially considered a rare drop. Even if we assume that I was close to dropping one, that means that I am running 450 dungeons. That is 90 dungeons per day. Should everybody be able to get all pages via dropping? Not quite. But they should be able to acquire them, and with this rartiy that will be more expensive than I find reasonable to finish this limited time collection of outfit styles. And quite frankly, if you're gonna make a grind-based event, then grinding it should be reasonably rewarding for people. Running *** 100 dungeons per day is an effort that should result in you being able to get all the pages. Hell, running 50 sould get you reasonably close. Instead, it may get you nothing. It's just not balanced correctly.

Nah it’s only PC EU as far as I’ve seen who can’t queue up for BGs. I got into BGs no problem earlier. Still had to wait 15-20 mins but I got in.

You should be able to port in using the map, since walking up to the entrance and going in also works.

EDIT: But you don't need "a full group." You can solo, or group with just 1 other player, etc.

Play on your Hotspot if you have a decent data plan. It doesn't take that much and it's actually quicker and better than most regular connections lmao.

I got unlimited data on my phone and it's all I do now. Hotspot beats the *** wifi in our house by 100 times. And to think I mainly done it cause of constantly traveling to countries and places where wifi is complete *** or non-existent... Hah.

Not looking forward to this event at all, in the 3 hours they had this running last year the drop rate for those styles were awful

The grind just takes the enjoyment out of these events

Lol dungeon finder broken i hope ot fails for this event. I would rather them shut everything down until its all fixed then to not be able to play. i left to ffxiv years ago because of this mess and it looks like ill be leaving again. This is just pethatic so glad i dont pay for eso+ anymore, ots just not worth it

The impression I get when reading the update from Gina is that the event is sort of a test for the Activity Finder:

With the recent implementation of several fixes for the Activity Finder, we’re inviting everyone to try out the updated tool on the live servers. To help us reach the desired population and Activity Finder load, we are re-enabling the Undaunted Event from Thursday, January 9 at 10:00AM EST through Monday, January 13 at 10:00AM EST. We believe these latest fixes will allow for a better experience, but we’ll be closely monitoring performance throughout the event in case of further issues.

(Emphasis added.)

If that impression is correct, then I'm thinking that they probably won't turn off the event unless things go really wrong and the only solution is to turn off the event again, since they're actually wanting everyone to put stress on the Activity Finder.

On the other hand, if they need to keep tweaking the changes they've made, it's possible they'll be taking the servers down from time to time throughout the event for short maintenance periods, so everyone please don't get all freaked out and doomy and gloomy if that happens.

On the NA server I've already got a Nascent Indrik waiting to be evolved into a Spectral Indrik, plus all four feathers waiting to be combined into another Nascent Indrik, so I couldn't buy any more feathers if I wanted. But I'll spend tickets on style pages or whatever else they have for sale.

Missing one feather but has 11 tickets and Nascent so will by another feather.
Hope the impresario sell other stuff.

Hint, asap once the event start, get some friends and port to fungal 1 normal. Did that last event and after we did that we though of doing an pledge, we was on discord, one had to change character as we was false tanking.
Group fell apart then he left and as I understand this was then the problem started.
I thought I was replaced so I logged off.

This! I had this a lot of times (probably 10 and more). I just unqued and qued again if I seen the ready check info on right upper corner (not popup). I didnt know that it can go into notifications until guilde helped me with this info. [removed for profanity bypass] bug as if affects other people with your lack of answer

Didn't see an answer for you. If this is like the first try at this event then you get the hefty box from the final boss (normal OR vet) of any group dungeon each day. Any further bosses that day, or on another account, will get a smaller box.
