that being:
-dive
-scorch
-swarm
-impaling shards
let me explain:
(honestly warden damage skills remind me of the guns from advanced warfare, where EVERY gun had to have some weird quirk to it)
-dive is delayed compared to other singe target skills, and has a weird *use from far away* quirk to it, this puts it in direct contrast to-
-scorch that everyone is well aware has quite the delay on it, of use in pvp but very annoying in pve its also a rather close range skill putting it into contrast with dive that seems to want warden to stay in a random ~10 meter range between 8 and 18 meters away (what?!)
-swarm the dot with an extremely long travel time (almost like a. . .delay? if you will) and the magicka version with the *this skill is not worth it unless you use it twice per enemy* quirk.
-impaling shards is the most normal skill as its clearly split between being DK talons one way or liquid lightning the other, I don't really have much to say here, its decent, I wanted to list it just to counter myself a bit in that not ALL of the warden skills are wonky, just the majority of them.
so yeah, its just annoying to play when all your damage skills are weird, I love MOST things about warden, but off all things to be bad the spammables (of whom you are going to be relying upon a lot of the time) being clunky is a pretty low blow.
(btw I acknowledge that necro has some weird spammables, blastbones is drunk more often then not, flame skull is super delayed. but the scythe is actually very good (reminds me of jabs) and the graveyard is clearly amazing. so while a couple spammables are wonky its made up for by the fact that its so packed full of damage skills that some being weird are able to be avoided or worked around.
