that makes no sense to me - if you dont want to participate in an event just dont - i left out a lot of them or participated only some time

Events become filler. Less focus on something new. Its recycled.
I know I don't have to do them. I didn't do this year's New Life for the above reasons.

Haha - I chose to call her Brenda, too, mainly because 'Return to Sender' kept popping into my head after completing a task.SantieClaws wrote: »Saying that as this one has done these quests since Brenda first set up her mead tent she does not do them perhaps as much as she first did.

This is my first year of ESO and I've been assiduous in partaking in all the events' daily tasks, ticket- and collectible-collecting since I started playing, halfway through the Jubilee Celebration (when I didn't have a clue what was going on)... until this one.
It didn't feel particularly festive to me, it was just another ESO event. On top of that, I found Brenda's daily tasks very boring and, eventually, arduous, so I cut them down to one a day, just to get the event tickets.
I also found that the writs (I got half of my Skaal stuff and the 12-New Life Writs award through them) consumed an obscene amount of Heartwood that I just wasn't prepared to sacrifice. I suppose that ridiculous expense was a reflection of the true meaning of Christmas, though.
