TL;DR = Instead of being rewarded for logging in, do "quests" throughout the month, earn the basic rewards you would get from the daily, earn unique rewards for completing most to all quests in a month, earn reward points for each quest completed to spend at a reward merchant for unique rewards( at very bottom if you are interested).
Daily rewards are a cheesy way to get people to login. I know it looks great on numbers. " Over 100k unique daily logins!" but it doesnt inspire people actually play the game which i would think is more important than getting people to show up for roll call. And people complain about daily rewards for various reasons. They are very unoriginal and unimaginative. What if we did away with it and made it more interesting?
A new reward system for playing is to .... play the game and earn rewards. These are a series of tiered quests with progressively better prizes that you have a month to complete. There are 6 quests in 4 tiers. Each tier has a level requirement and you are required to complete tiers in order. There is a 12 hour cooldown between accepting quests. The timer starts as soon as you accept a quest. This is to prevent you from just logging in grinding out all the quests in a few days. Quests are account wide and can be done on any character including starting on 1 character and finishing on another.
1) Beginner Tier: Easy quests geared more towards newbies.
- Quest Examples:
* Catch 50 salmon.
* Complete 4 Non crafting daily quests.
* Participate in killing 4 bosses in Dolmens, Geysers, or Dragons
* Complete 4 non repeatable quests.
* Collect 200 ore from nodes.
* Kill 100 wolves of any type.
* Kill the last boss in 1 dungeon
* Complete 1 battleground
* Kill 3 unique delve bosses.
* Steal and fence 20 items.
-Rewards might include( per quest): 1000-4000 gold, crown food/drink, non tri-stat crown potions, research scrolls, poisons. Tier reward: Up to 10k gold, riding lessons, lesser XP scrolls, tri stat pots
2) Advanced Tier: Requires level 50 and the completion of beginner tier.
- Quest Examples:
* Harvest 100 nightshade.
* Complete 8 Non crafting dailies.
* Kill 6 unique delve bosses
* Kill 2 world bosses
* Kill 3 unique public dungeon bosses
* Complete 6 non repeatable quests.
* Kill the last boss in a dungeon 4 times.
* Gain 50k XP from any sources.
* Win 1 Battleground.
* Complete one PVE or PVP quest in Cyrodil.
* Fence 50 items
* Gain 10000 gold from vendors, quest rewards, loot drops, treasure chests, etc.( excludes from traders/mail) Note: Vendor buyback removes credit
- Rewards( per quest): 2000-8,000 gold, crown pots, research scrolls, lesser xp scrolls, riding lessons, 1000-5000 AP, 500-1500 Tel Var. Tier reward: up to 20k gold, xp scrolls, riding lessons, up to 20k AP, up to 2500 Tel Var.
3) Vet Tier: Requires CP 160 or equivalent and completion of Advanced tier
-Quest Examples:
*Harvest 100 Heartwood from wood nodes
* Catch 3 of each green quality and 1 of each blue quality fish in Stonefalls.
* Kill the final boss in a public dungeon.
* Kill 6 unique world bosses.
* Complete 12 non crafting dailies.
* Kill the last boss in a dungeon using random dungeon finder 4 times.
* Heal your group in a dungeon in the healer role for 250k excluding heals on yourself and overhealing. This can be done over multiple dungeons.
* Gain 250k XP from any sources.
* Win 3 battlegrounds.
* Fence 25k gold worth of items.
* Complete 5 PVE or PVP quests in Cyrodil.
* Kill 500 enemies( of any type) in Glenumbra.
* Gain 5000 Tel Var in Imperial City
- Per quest rewards: 3000-12000 gold, 2000-8000 AP, 1000-5000 Tel Var, XP scrolls, tri stat pots, currency scrolls( new item that increases gold/AP/Tel Var gained by 20% for 2 hours). Tier reward: up to 40k gold, up to 30k AP, up to 10k Tel Var, tradeable lesser XP scrolls, Grand XP scrolls, pets, up to 75 crowns, up to 5 crown gems, tradeables that are unique to the reward system such as styles/pages, costume accessories, markings, etc.
4) Elite Tier: Requires CP 500 or equivalent and completion of Vet tier
-Quest Examples:
* Harvest 400 cloth from nodes in Greendshade.
* Catch 10 of each green quality fish in Murkmire and 2 of each blue quality.
* Kill 10 unique public dungeon bosses.
* Kill 10 unique world bosses.
* kill 15 unique delve bosses
* kill the last boss in a dungeon when using the random dungeon finder 6 times
* kill 5 vet dungeon bosses ( does not have to be the same dungeon)
* Gain 1 million XP from any source.
* Heal your group, in the healer role, for 750k HP excluding self heals and overhealing in dungeons or trials
* While in the tanking role in a dungeon or trial, taunt 50 unique enemies, block 50 boss abilities or attacks, and debuff bosses 50 times. This can be spread over multiple dungeons/trials.
* Fence 100k gold worth of items.
* Kill 50 bosses of any type
* Gain 20k points in battlegrounds.
* Complete 10 PVE or PVP quests in Cyrodil.
* Gain 5000 Tel Var in Imperial City
* Kill 1500 enemies of any type in Hew's Bane.
- Per Quest Reward: 5k- 20k gold, 4k-15k AP, 2500-10000 Tel Var, Grand XP scrolls, Currency scrolls, 10-100 crowns, 1-10 crown gems, unique tradeable cosmetics.
All tier completion reward: 50k-250k gold or AP. , 10k-25k Tel Var, 1-3 Current season crown crates, up to 400 crowns, up to 25 crown gems, unique pets, mounts, dyes.
Additionally each of the 24 quest you complete a month earn reward points. Tier 1 quests earn 5 point, tier 2 quests earn 10 points, tier 3 earn 15 points, and tier 4 earn 20 points. In addition, completing all quests in a month earn a 50% bonus to reward points for a total of 390 reward points possible each month. These points can be spent at a reward merchant.
Items at the reward merchant include( Not all items available at all times):
* Vouchers for gold, AP, Tel Var.
* Tradable 100 crown vouchers
* Pets
* Mounts
* Cosmetics.
* Unique houses that can only be acquired through the reward system( Small and medium houses will be featured)
* Unique furnishing prints that are tradeable.
* 1 day access passes to DLC zones or chapters
* 1 day access pass to craft bag
* Mystery crate containing 1-3 random crown crates from seasons 1-5. Crate amount chances are (1) 75%, (2) 20%, (3)5%.
* Mystery crate containing a random crate from seasons 6-10.
* Seven day wayshrine pass. You are not charged for porting to wayshrines.
* Seven day speed buff. Increases your speed by 10% on foot or while mounted. Does not work in PVP Zones.
* Seven day guild trader slot expansion. Gives you 10 additional slots.
* Unique Storage Access: Long Term Storage. This special storage can only be accessed for 1 day in a 30 day period. The other 29, storage is not accessible. Storage has 50 slots.
* Slot upgrade to Long Term Storage. 5 slot upgrade. Long Term Storage is upgradeable to 200 slots.
* Housing Storage items such as cupboards, desks, bookshelves, wardrobes, cabinets, chests.
* Furniture Warehouse access: Can store up to 50 furnishings, can be accessed from any house or through most bankers.
* Furniture Warehouse slot upgrade: Increase by 5 slots up to 250 slots
* Transmute Crystal limit increase: Increase the non ESO Plus transmute crystal limit permanently by 5. Max non ESO limit 250
