Issue I see is this, people will go there expecting skyrim from the single player game. They wont get that this is WAY before then so most if the cities wont exist.

I still want to know what happened to that town in ESO Rift that wasn't in Skyrim Rift. What happened during the next thousand (?) years that completely wiped a town from the map? No ruins, nothing.

they milked it for every penny, the bloody thing has gotten so stale now.
it would be so much better to have something new and original instead of the same old crap.

    Oof!

Hope you quicksaved before that one!

I frankly have a LOT of negative things to say about ESO these days, and admittedly not much positive at all. Things like the "balancing" of combat, has made a hardcore ESO loyalist very, very disappointed. I always defended this game, but I hardly do these days.

This though, might be one of the few things I consider interesting/good. I can't see why so many are so negative towards it, while the same people(?) where like über-happy when we had Morrowind? Why? Someone please fill me in. There seems to be some kind of "trv ESO pro kvlt" thing about hating Skyrim, that I never really understood.

I had a hunch ZOS would wait quite a while before adding any Skyrim regions, as they probably knew a lot of people would be negative, but also that a lot of (new?) people would be really positive. I don't buy this "it's too soon, we all already played Skyrim like yesterday!" thing. Maybe you did, but it's not the same place. And Skyrim is like 10 years old now, seriously? It's like saying we can't play a game about contemporary Sweden, because we already played a game on viking age Sweden.

Only thing I hope, is that this won't be some junk made up rapidly just for some more content, but that it's a well made region, comparable to Orsinium. If they make a reeeeaally bad Skyrim DLC, ZOS will dig their own grave. That's for sure.
A Nord DLC is long overdue anyway, and we can't leave most of Skyrim a white spot on the map, just because we have TESV already.

I just might return to try this new DLC out, and really hope they have got some sense back with ESO, when it comes to combat. .. :-/

The issue I had with the past chapters was that they tried to shove in too many things at once. Elsweyr for example revolves around Khajiit, Necromancers and Dragons, three things that don't have anything to do with each other. Summerset felt similarly disjointed, spreading the focus between Altmer, Daedric Wars and Sload.
If they keep the scope smaller for Skyrim like they did for Orsinium, it would work much better. And with all things pointing towards a Blackreach / Falmer focus, possibly with new skill lines related to the nearby College of Winterhold, I think this chapter could be much more coherent.

Frankly I'm surprised how much I'm looking forward to this.
Alandrol Sul: He's making another Numidium?!?
Vivec: Worse, buddy. They're buying it.

Never really thought of it that way, but it's pretty true. Orsinium is so far like the perfect addition to ESO. It really wouldn't hurt if we had another solo arena either, like Maelstrom. Everyone doesn't have a multitude of friends still playing the game, and some people prefer solo content even if this is a "MMO" - everything doesn't need to be group oriented. Of all the possible Skyrim content, I'm actually hoping it's *not* Blackreach/Falmer hahaha.... I've always been going through Blackreach pretty fast, and only wanted to leave asap to be honest.

Probably gonna be the last dime they can milk outta eso before closing the doors or servers since fixes and improvements just aren't happening they broke everything from group finder, to server performance, events etc so rather than fix it hey guys ready for a year of skyrim!? Sell us 3 dlcs and a chapter of fandom fodder because they know someone will buy skyrim if it was playable on a slice of bread. Once they milked that I'd call the game done...

They milk fools in the crown store, not in DLCs or chapters. Actually these are pretty cheap, for example I've bought Elsweyr for 15$ and DLCs are included in ESO+ or can be bought with a gold in-game. Meanwhile a stupid skin in the store can cost 50$ or more. Now compare time needed to create a single skin to time needed to create an entire chapter. See?

Every addict explains himself things this way. If that makes you feel better than okay, but thanks to people supporting such a lame practices, people with common sense get a demo version of a video game for a full price. Just don't come up with poor devs and their salaries because I will crush any of your golden thoughts without mercy :D

Actually, I AM a TES fan, since the day Arena released. I don't hate Skyrim at all, I'm still playing it (and Oblivion). But I feel like the influx of people to see this iteration of Skyrim is going to do a huge number on the servers. That's the first thing. The other thing is that I'm not a fan of Nords, never have been, so that's kind of a downer for me. I can ignore them mostly when in "not Nord" zones in ESO (and I don't spend a whole lot of time in the eastern Skyrim areas for that reason - too many of them to ignore) - and since my favorite race is Redguard (closely followed by Khajiit) I really was hoping for the rest of those zones first.

In TES V I just don't interact with Nords unless forced, which isn't much any more - I never do the whole MQ now (only through killing Mirmulnir - because my load order always includes Legacy of the Dragonborn, and if you don't kill Mirmulnir, some of the later quests in LotD don't fire properly) and if I never see Ulfric Stormcloak again, it will be FAR too soon.

But that's another thing that makes me wince about ESO's possible iteration of Skyrim: I sure hope it doesn't turn into doing something for this era's Stormcloak family....

And it's not dragons! I'd be perfectly happy for more dragons! In any case, if it's too much once I get more information, I just won't buy the chapter. Not the first time I didn't play part of a game because it was outside what I wanted to do.... There were things in both WoW and RIFT that I knew I wasn't going to enjoy *shrug*. That's also true of TES V - as in, not doing the MQ.

Eh, I never liked Elves all that much (especially funny because I pvp yellow), so I kind of get where you're coming from, but I had fun playing on Elf Island. As for the 'Stormcloak family', you alread y meet one, she's the Captain, I think, in Windhelm. You report to her on the findings of the Stormfist clan getting ready to overthrow the Skald-King. EDIT: She's not the Captain, but a Thane. Mera Stormcloak.

I'd like more Hammerfell as well, but I suspect that's going to be left alone because it's been speculated that TES VI will take place there.

not left alone but my prediction is that they might release a hammerfell chapter the year before TES VI releases maybe as a tie in...maybe even with some bonuses when you play both etc.... e.g. you can visit places and then in TES VI you can visit the ruins of the same places and find some treasure or something like that

Not sure why people are complaining so much. This is a game based off TES games. Unique expansions would hurt this game. We should expect this type of content, expansions covering the most popular parts of TES.

when it was written, it was long before the announcement of skyrim, back when people where trying to make out that the next chapter would have harkon's vampire clan and how it would be in skyrim. the past 2 years where every chapter is apparently going to be skyrim got really annoying. you know?

regardless, I'm interested to see where they go with this dark heart of skyrim.
