I am so looking forward to my first life festival :) But I'm not looking forward being online with a bunch of people :s
So what are you looking forward too and not looking forward too. With the New Life Festival?

Like: the quests where I don't have to compete with other players.

Don't like: the Betnikh and Grahtwood quests where I'm sharing spawns with other players.

For Betnikh, you don't have to farm in the region highlight in the map.
For Grathwood, that part is optional and you can just pay it and then hand in the quest.

I'm aware, though those are good hints for newer players. Another hint is that you get credit even if you just light attack the mob - no need for an ulti drop.

Unfortunately, ZOS has a tendency to design event quests where players are competing for limited spawns. Betnikh, Grahtwood, and the Jester's Festival fireworks come to mind as particularly annoying. Limited spawns work okay when not many players are doing a quest, but during holiday dailies its very easy to lose out on the holiday spirit when you are farming against other players instead of cooperating with them.

Though judging by the poll I made last year, the top two least favorite New Life quests of the 220 respondents were Stonetooth Bash in Betnikh (44%) and Fish Boon Feast in Shadowfen (23%).

    You don't like people, OP?

Anyway, looking forward to completing the snow indrik and catching up on feathers because I fell behind slightly on those. And the thing I'm not looking forward to is competing for honey from the wasps on Betnikh. I remember last year the first day or so was kind of hard work to secure a kill.

I'm looking forward to it all, I even dreamt last night that I did the Alik'r Desert one (though in my dream they had changed how many signal fires there were and you had to run about four times)

Out of the ones I had most trouble with last year was the Reaper's March (spent 30 lockpicks the first time) and the Betnikh one, but I'm still looking forward to them

However remember that in Grahtwood, you get the achievement for doing both steps, the hunting and the paying, so do that once at least, then afterward, you can just pay each time you do it.

Since this is my third New Life, the only achieve I don't have on all 15 of my toons, is the one for the writs, so the only thing I'll be farming is writs, and also the new style. Otherwise, I'll be using the XP buff to level skills & actives on my various toons that still aren't maxed yet.

I meant the ones that play ESO.

So in previous years, The New Life Festival would run from the 13th Of December until January 2nd. So why did ESO decide to make it form the 19th to January 2nd? So basically we lost 6 days from previous events.

There are static wasp nests this time, so no fights for wasps

A fixed Wasp Nest with a white ! to show you where to go and collect your honey, like a resource node

Careful when killing your first boss of the day.

I totally forgot about how you can miss out and not be able to loot the boss, missing event tickets, ...,joined a fight on a dolmen, but was not able to loot the boss because there were too many peeps, unfortunate to get hit by bad rng.

    Quoted post has been removed.

You can report comments you think are off topic and if the mods agree, they'll take care of it.

Something I really like about this year's New Life Festival is that ZOS took our conplaints about the competitive quest on Betnikh into account and streamlined the hunting for wolves and gave an additional source for honey. Well done ZOS!
