Does it look to you as a company that wants actual players to play the game? No. Just people who purchase they game, play for 1 week and never return, so a dev can go stand on stage and say "we have 15 million players" while in realoty all they have:
100 players playing trials
1000 questing
300 pvp
1200 housing
3000 afk-chatting
The population is so low that they cannot mention how many daily players they have(even if they can manipulate the number by counting players who log for 2 minutes to claim the log in bonus and don't play anything )4 -

Having a product that does not work as it should is just bad business and the problems have dragged on to long that a big wave of people have left the game to play something else in the past half year. Its an MMO, so when the Ping spikes or changes it make the game unplayable for some, for me its going from 100 to 999+ every few minutes on PC/NA
Some People have standards and self respect and they ask for what is reasonable for what they expect from a game they paid for.
People down playing the issues at hand about ping after the update, saying how they are tough enduring the issues, either are not experiencing the issues at hand or been beaten into submission and accept anything that comes their way.
Self-respect is about having the courage to stand up for yourself when you are being treated in a manner that is less than what you deserve.
I'm just amazed that after all those trouble EU had in the past year (and beyond), and we hardly heard anything from the US playerbase. Now suddenly US is having (compared to the EU) a minor problem, and the world is ending. Its not the problem, or ZoS that I defend.
I just hate the hyprocisy that is being displayed here. And sorry for the bad spelling, not my native language.
Perhaps, just perhaps, people from NA didn't respond when EU was having trouble because they weren't and didn't want to clog up threads with useless information. "Oh man, that sucks" "we know ZoS has been promising to fix it for forever and never does" etc, etc. Those types of comments are useless - empathetic but they don't help pinpoint the issue or provide useful information. I know that's why I don't comment on threads that specify EU issues; I have nothing to contribute.
It is, however, crap to adopt the attitude of "I'm suffering so the world must suffer with me". Personally, I'd rather it all get fixed. ✭✭✭✭✭To the people who are dismissing the issue: it's not happening to everyone, as with a lot of bugs/problems in this game. I usually have 200-250 ping, and since the maintenance it's been 400+ and hasn't moved (on PC/NA). I can provide screenshots. I only have ping that high with random lag spikes or rarely in populated combat in Cyrodiil. The game is unplayable, I've had to cancel raids, please let us know that you are investigating @ZOS_GinaBruno0 -

✭✭✭✭It may not be part of the game, but ZoS absolutely has a responsibility here, since they are Akamai's customers. Akamai should have been dropped the moment the Oceanic issues started and became a common occurrence, or, at the least, contracts should have been renegotiated.

You ASSUME it has increased for a "vast population", but if it did you would see far more post on the forums about it. I play on PC NA and my ping is absolutely 100% fine. 75-110 ms and not a single lag spike in hours of play. So its probably more localized and nothing to do with ZOS.
PC/NA ping is better than it was last week - sitting at 90-1100 -

I'm making another thread in the hopes that we get some form of interaction from the devs/CMs. Tell us that you at least are working on this because the game is nearly unplayable for any form of competitive content.

You also ASSUME that it hasn't increased for anyone except you. Do yourself a favour, go look here and here and see how the exact thing that's happening to the US, happened for Australia and other Oceanic countries, and wasn't addressed for a solid year. Even down the how large the jump in ping is, I remember logging off one night to the 300 ping I'd normally get, and logging on the very next day to 400-450 with spikes well beyond that.

You assume ZOS is the problem and that is the problem. Anytime something bad happens to a player its "ZOS's fault". Akamai seems to be having issues....but its ZOS's fault because they use Akamai. Did we ever consider that Akami handles about one fifth of ALL web traffic? And there could be issues such as a high level of DDOS attacks running through their servers or a hardware issue? If possible, play via steam. The game works fine when routed through steam servers. I hear you can also use a VPN. It appears one of the routes to the servers is having issues, so you just need to find an alternate route and the problem is solved.0
