Random finder gives you... a random group. Sometimes they might not be the nicest people. Or they indeed might be in a rush and not in the mood to teach someone new. Deal with it or follow your own advice and form your own group.

This is pretty blunt but correct. The group finder is best left to those with experience and thick skin. New/inexperienced players should find a guild where they can run content with people willing to teach, and there are plenty of them constantly posting in zone chat. You can spare yourself a lot of grief if you invest some time in finding the right group of players to run with.
I am dealing with it. I disabled my add-on that made maps hard to decipher. I am becoming a better tank. I farmed Crypt of Hearts to make the Alcast build for my nightblade. Now I am undaunted and collecting keys to put together the head and shoulder sets. So I am required to venture into alliances with dungeon finder.
The instructions of Maj LaRath (spelling may be wrong) don't always specify which of 4 possible dungeons must be completed. I will try to stay out of veteran dungeons, to avoid the ill-tempered hasty folks. I tried 3 of the 4 possible combinations for one of the required dungeons before I found the correct one in one instance.
The most recent one that got be booted and threatened with a report, was not easy to see which of the computer generated enemy was the boss. Playing as a tank requires me to taunt the boss and protect the other players from the boss. I think the first one was a miniboss, I missed it and quickly ended up removed from the area.
As you can expect, farming Crypt of Hearts I and II in regular in veteran modes, developed some tank skills.
Making friends is not as easy in ESO as one might expect. For instance, if I select a nearby potential friend and circle the selection to send friend request, does it do that when I release the key or do I have to hit a keyboard key afterward?
