2020 Skyrim Chapter content. What do you think?

With Morrowind we get Warden class. With Summerset we get jewelry profession and psijik order skillline. Elsweyr get us necromanser class.
Well, what 2020 East (wait... Central) Skyrim Chapter get us?
I think it can be spellcraft profession and Tongue (Voice, Thu'um) Skilline.
Or is it too early to think about it?

I think it took Ulfric Stormcloak ten years to learn two shouts from the Greybeards. So, uh, I'm not expecting much out of a "Thu'um skill line" except a grind.

Spellcrafting in some form is a possibility, although I don't think it's gonna be as it was before. It would probably be *one* spell that we can customize to our needs with certain limitations and restrictions to keep things balanced.

Similarly I think a Thuum skill line or Greybeard guild line would be possible, but I am suspecting/hoping that it would only consist of ultimates as that would be more befitting of the Thuum's power and its challenges for non-Dragonborn users.

It could also introduce a Vampire lord or Dawnguard skill line, because let's face it, it's something ZOS would do.

Some unexpected things could be magic from the Reach if they finally let us side with "the bad guys".

Or they sell us the overhaul of the champion point system or the performance fix as "the new feature", just how Dragons were a "feature" of Elsweyr.

The Thuum takes decades to learn for a non dragonborn, and just spaming them like normal skills won't exactly look good.

Based on the trailer it looked like they added a dragon priest to the mix. The last chapter we got a necromancer and in the trailer they added a necromancer character.

I think Dawnguard is a strong possibility as in TES V Skyrim (about 800+ years AFTER events in ESO) they said they were REBUILDING the Dawnguard, which suggests it had existed in a greater form some time before. That would certainly tie in with correct lore.

Spellcrafting would be iffy, a huge can or worms that has the potential to really mess things up ending in everyone and their granny running practicalyl the same "super-effective" combination of "crafted spells", to the deteriment of any game enjoyment...

Personally I would much rather they keep that one on the shelf, and redo it as -Scrollcrafting- (allowing us to create consumable scrolls from our character skills, that can then be cast by anyone... possibly also make player-created recipes and motiv pages...)

    As for Thu'um, well...
I think it took Ulfric Stormcloak ten years to learn two shouts from the Greybeards. So, uh, I'm not expecting much out of a "Thu'um skill line" except a grind.
...and that is why I expect they will not be going there, except maybe in some minor ways.

Yeah, seems the Breton Hero learned a bit of necromancy between his demise in the very first trailers and the encore in the elsweyr trailers, huh?
And this "trailer character" for the skyrim preview is the Nord Hero, who would most likely still be a complete and utter stamina character in keeping with nord warrior traditions... so... I can hoppe they might hand out some stamina goodies as well...

Personally I am hoping for new weapon options from skyrims forges!
But then, of course I would: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/371862/additional-weapon-skill-ideas-mk-ii/p1 ;)

Another thing I would love to see is a bardic guild skill line similar to psijic: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/387560/additional-guild-ideas-mk-ii ;)

I suppose we shall have to wait and see, won't we? ;)

The trailer was the end of Northern and Southern Elsweyr's quest lines and the Necromancer player character stand-in is the one who put on the Dragonpriest mask. I haven't played the new DLC yet, but I'm guessing it's an important macguffin. The only hint about what's next is the Nord player character stand-in watching over what is presumably the Reach seen from Haafingar.

Labrynthian will almost certainty be a Group or normal 4 man Dungeon. I want to know how the Staff of Magnus got in there. Also maybe what the deal is with Dragon Bridge. Everyone in Skyrim says no-one knows who built it.

    UESP Skyrim

    Enemies:

    Reachmen
    Thalmor
    Snow Elves/Falmer
    Dragon Priests
    Dragons
    Vampires

    Factions:

    Dawnguard vs. Volkihir
    Imperial Legion vs. Stormcloaks
    Greybeards vs. Blades
Bards' College fun storyline like the theatre troupe in Summerset
Companions - a new Fighter's Guild storyline grants access to Skyforge.
Winterhold - a new Mages Guild storyline grants access to Spellcrafting. Players create scrolls that equip in Poison slots.

    Possible but not likely:

Vampire "revamp" (sorry!) like Wolfhunter DLC for Werewolves
Followers from Winterhold and Companion storyline completion
Spellcrafting as a new weapon skill-line. Loot and/or craft visible Books/Wands/Relics that equip in off-hand weapon slots

I hate dwarven ruins tho. At least I did in Skyrim. Endless stone hallways and pipes, hammering those pesky automaton buckets. Meh, uninspiring.

I doubt we will ever see shouts. Each one requires the character to raise their voice. With all the different character voices, ranging between race and gender, it just seems unlikely. I also doubt that they will manage to bring the throat of the world. It will either be an unclimbable mountain or part of the sandbox.
Also, imagine the spamming of shouts in PVP - "Fus Ro Dah" ad nauseam.

    "Fus Ro Dah"
    "Fus Ro Dah"
    "Fus Ro Dah"
    "Fus Ro Dah"
    "Fus Ro Dah"
    "Fus Ro Dah"
    "Fus Ro Dah"

Pugging. Pugging all the way to victory.

Breton Templar --- female, magicka, light armor, restoration staff.
Redguard Warden --- female, stamina, medium armor, bow.
Breton Sorcerer --- male, magicka, light armor, destruction staff.
Imperial Templar --- male, stamina, medium armor, two handed.

Why is 1h+magic the most likely? We don't have any indication for that. The datamined icon has been in the client since release, and has been used as a symbol for Weapon Crit buffs ever since.

Spellcraft was actually mentioned in the Dragonhold DLC, where Skyrim was first teased as well. As was the Bard's College, although I don't quite recall in which dialogue.

    I hope for a REAL Expansion .

    1. A huge zone like Craglorn or Cyrodiil.

    2. A new skill line or more.

    3. Vampirism revamp.

    4. 8 Public dungeons

    5. 2 new full Trials

    6. New weapons

    7. A new Class?...but not mandatory

    8. 4 new BG Maps

    9. Cyrodiil revamp

    10. Imperial City revamp.

    11. More additions to the justice system ...they could start with a Bounty system opened from time to time..2 days per week.

    12. SPELL CRAFTING

A new weapon skill line would be fitting right now as we haven’t had any since base game. But hey I don’t know as there is a lot to go with that, for Example all the motifs that we would all have to learn. Lol 😂

A dragon shout skill line could be a possibility but we are not the dragon born. So I can see that’s going to be hard to explain why we can use/learn them quickly. Maybe us being the vestige might have something to do with it.

It’s going to be the same content as previous chapters but maybe someone new as well. A new arena like maelstrom? (sp) or a trial.

No new class, as they seem to be giving us one every two years. (To date) can’t keep that up tho, so think we won’t be getting a new class for a while.

Spell crafting, maybe. But I doubt it for this chapter.

Maybe a new race to play? Haven’t had any since imperial got added.

You act like this wasn’t logically one of the few places left for a big chapter. It’s clear they saved it for as long as they could because lots of people sick of Skyrim.

People will be mad (on these forums) when we inevitably go to Black Marsh? There’s only so much places left to go full chapter sized. We knew years ago they want to do the entire continent. Now that it’s our turn people are bitching lol.

Even with Eastmarch and The Rift already carved out, the rest of Skyrim is still too big for a single chapter and a single DLC zone. Whiterun and Winterhold could be the chapter with Markarth or Solitude centering the DLC with the other being excluded until later. Or the western section of Skyrim could be the chapter with the northeast portion being the DLC. Of course dividing up Skyrim will require an Elsweyr sized gap in the middle but without the missing civilization.
