They will charge $49.99 for half the zone and then release Southern Skyrim as DLC a few months later so you can play the other half of the zone...not reason for them to change tactics now.

I think it will just be Morthal and surrounds (I forgot the name of the province) then there will be a Solitude DLC. So pretty small overall but you would get such landmarks as Labarinthia.

Now perhaps we will get neighbouring provinces, Dawnstar, The Reach or Whiterun.

I guess if it is dragon-themed then Whiterun and High Hrothgar seem the most important for that and it is called the heart of Skyrim but man is Whiterun flat and boring while Morthal is a lot more mysterious.

Dawnstar is the home of the guilds so perhaps we would get a guild storyline expansion of some kind with that.
The Reach is filled with Reachman warlords.

I reckon it’ll likely be two of the holds combined into one zone.

Solitude got name dropped in the last DLC by Cadwell, so possibly it’ll be haafingar and hjaalmarch.

However there was also a Dwemer ruin that leads into Blackreach mentioned by a Bosmer, the entrance to this is in Winterhold area, so maybe it’s Winterhold and The Pale.

We just don’t know yet. The trailer was snowy though, so maybe it is the far north of it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Guess we will find out in January!

The map will be as "huge" as every other Chapter. There will be a large part blocked off by mountains or other inexplorable zones. That's how these content releases are designed and approached. Don't fool yourself by having hopes it will be different this time, Morrowind, Summerset and Elsweyr already cemented this.

Dont count on big map or lots of content. We will get one tiny map and a day worth of content for a price of full expansion, just as we did with elsweyr.

If you think the Chapter main quest is the definition of “content”, @LucyferLightbringer, you’re in for a rude awakening.

I can see going to Skyrim thing is at this time in Elder Scrolls History Skyrim isn't united there are two Kingdoms the West Skyrim Kingdom having this to say in short.

Western Skyrim is more progressive and has close ties to the Empire of Cyrodiil West Skyrim consists of the western holds of Skyrim, which include Falkreath, Haafingar, Hjaalmarch, The Reach, and Whiterun. The capital of the nation is the city of Solitude, located on a natural arch in the mountains of Haafingar. West Skyrim takes up a larger portion than the Old Holds since it consists of five different holds, as opposed to the four in the east.

The Old Holds, Eastern Skyrim,[1] or the Eastern Kingdom[2] is the eastern half of the province of Skyrim and is the parallel to West Skyrim on the other side of the province. While the Nords of West Skyrim embrace the cultures of the Empire, the Nords of the Old Holds stick to the old ways that date back to the Atmorans of the distant north.The Old Holds consist of the eastern holds of Skyrim which include Eastmarch, The Pale, The Rift, and the Winterhold.

I believe and hope that the interplay between the two can and should make some great story telling. The west after Remen assignation by the Morag Tong left the west ruled by Jarl Svartr and the east by Freydis. The west was nuteral during the Allaince War and Markarth became an independent Nation for the reachmen. SO there is a lot there between the two Kingdoms that can be done for some great story telling by the character. you can read more here.

Skyrim consists of nine holds, if ZOS counts the dungeon Falkreath Hold as one for the purpose of Skyrim, we have 3 of 9 holds, Eastmarch and the Rift being the other 2. So we have 1/3 of of Skyrim now, not 1/2. Granted Falkreath Hold is not showing on the map of Tamriel as a hold currently, the dungeon is essentially a town, so again, not sure if they consider the dungeon as one of the nine holds.

I do agree that they will probably cut it down to something like Northern and Southern Skyrim (or Eastern and Western). based on them doing it with Elsweyr and it will make ZOS more money, why would they change those tactics.
