Dragons need to be nerfed and an aside.

I know not everyone is going to agree, but lets be honest, frost dragons especially need to be nerfed. The other dragons that can use that soul ripping ability need to either have the ability nerfed or have it put on a longer cool down. And yes, I know you can purge the soul ability, but only if you're a Templar or have one helping you out, but realistically not everyone does. Restore staff should have a purge spell on it, or a morph, but as far as I know it doesn't.

A side note: Zalsheem's shadow pool needs to have a visible radius.

Also everyone has access to a purge skill via the alliance war support skill line.

Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

    No nerfs to dragons!

    Buff them instead please.

I do enjoy still seeing the Breath AOE line attack taking out many people at once who just stand there - so fun.

Dragons are supposed to be strong. And yes they are soloable. So if anything they could be buffed a bit.

I think the adds are more of a problem than the soultear. But right now if there are more than 6 players attempting a dragon you are lucky. Many of them are low level and don't know how to play. Thing's usually go ok until the adds appear and they make quick work of everyone.

I’ve only been playing since July and am far from max CP but I absolutely don’t think dragons should be nerfed! I’m fine with most overland being easy but bosses should not be, and dragons especially, in my opinion. I’m very glad to how they were improved with the last DLC. You can avoid the devastating attacks once you know what you’re doing. I agree with the majority here; they absolutely don’t need a nerf.

Dragons should just scale based on population of zone.

If there are many many players, then more dragons spawn around the map. If there are only a few then one per spawn limit focusing players in one area.

That should at least help funnel players. Otherwise it doesn't really matter in the end.

The dragons are fine the way they are no nerf or buff, I personally find the Storm harder than Frost. All i ask if the dmg/health is adjusted based on how many people are currently in the fight. No need to buff since Skeletons and Bone Colossus plus Dragon is enough challenge already without trying to adhere to the select few who claim they can "solo" a dragon.

This is an MMO. MMO's should offer group content that assumes the player knows what they're doing, especially in overland which makes up the vast majority of the game. Go play any other MMO, and they'll have similar content.

Want an easy experience you can solo? Go play a single player game. You're in the wrong genre.

No, they don't need to be nerfed. Players just need to be buffed with a Dragonguard skill line. A simple six passive line (like Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood) should have been part of the Dragonhold DLC in the first place. Two of the passives could have been:

Dragonslayer (4 ranks) - Deal 5/10/15/20% more damage to dragons under 25% health.
Guardian (4 ranks) - Take 5/10/15/20% less damage from dragons.

That's plenty of extra defense and an execute bonus equivalent to running 2 Bloodthirsty. It's specific to a single enemy type and would have little impact on the game other than making Sunspire easier, and making the Godslayer title more attainable for trials guilds.

Maybe the anniversary event can remedy this glaring oversight.

No one says that. Pve’ers call for nerfs all the time. Years later we still get “VMA is too hard” threads, most of the DLC dungeons have been nerfed considerably from their initial state, and some have been nerfed several times, trial mechanics have been made easier due to complaints from people who didn’t want to learn them. The entire zone of Craglorn, the last truly challenging overland map, was gutted with 1T because people avoided it because it was “too hard”.

I've never purged that dot, just healed through. Even on Stamina characters I used Draining Shot to heal through.
A lot of people stand too close and get whacked by the tail or wing and during that CC they get into other trouble and that's what kills them.
Other people see the dragon take off but mill around the middle waiting for it to breath fire/frost/lightning on them. That kills them too.
