Could be Reachmen. Dark Heart might refer to the Briarhearts and Reachmen practice a dark form of Nature magic (Gloomspore)

To me, "dark heart" sounds a bit like "heart of darkness," or "dark" as in cruel or sad or maybe even evil. And as I mentioned in another thread, Whiterun is considered to be the heart of Skyrim. I think Whiterun could fit in with the whole dragon theme, as Numinex the dragon was imprisoned in Whiterun at Dragonsreach. Even though that happened in the previous era, I believe it's said that Numinex escaped.

so new weapon skill confirmed? crossbow?

Funny things aside I would like to see Reachmen and if things hold as it has been a two part of skyrim will come. More magic.. so yea Winterhold.

That is true. Still there is no reason it would not play a part in the story. I also wonder what is that green crystal in the back of the dragon that explodes in a cataclysmic way.

It looks a lot like the crystal of Keening. Tool of Kagrenac used by the Almsivi to gain divine powers from the heart of Lorkhan.

    Blackreach
Blackreach has been the number one suspicion since that crate season was datamined. I hoped it wasn't the case. I really hoped it wasn't the case. Blackreach was, together with the Soul Cairn and the Vale, that part of Skyrim I hoped I could skip (if only) and would just get it over with as soon as possible so I could actually enjoy the game on every playthrough.

This is the first expansion I'm 100% indifferent to. Which doesn't bode well since that's mostly the feeling ESO has been giving me for a while now.

Wolf-Queen Potema is a Septim and we all know the Septim line hasn't even begun yet.

The whole "Gloomspore" crate datamine seems to imply either Falmer or Reach.

Ah! That is correct. Thank you.

I genuinely believe it's going to be Blackreach + vampires.

People keep bringing up the gloomspore crates, but seemingly forgot that the Nightfall crates exist.

Yes, this leads me to believe the chapter will be primarily related to one, and the DLC will be primarily related to the other, and they will be somehow tied together in a year-long story.

    College of Winterhold, dark secret.

One of my favorite Skyrim mods is one done by EasierRider called The Midden. There are definitely dark secrets about the College that the author put down there. Nothing that definitively answered the cause of the Collapse, but just some really weird stuff that raises some eyebrows. The Midden in the base game had this creepy vibe to it and the author just magnified it.

As cool as this would be, I'm pretty skeptical this'll be the focus of the next Chapter for Elder Scrolls Online.

In all seriousness, it really will be a missed opportunity if they don't make some sly references to characters and plot points from Conrad. And since the writers have been pretty skillful at addressing themes of racism and colonialism, it's easy to imagine some of the parallels that could crop up. Not as the main plot, but I could imagine some side quests. (I mean, WoW basically did it, but I feel like the ESO writers could handle it with a bit more subtlety.)

dark heart just makes me think of briarheart which makes me think of reachmen related things. I just really really hope it's not blackreach. I never found blackreach that enthralling, and after HOF, AS, CWC, Frostvault, I'm tired of dwemer and automaton related things
