Ive seen a twitcher really killing it with the mag necro. Pure mechanics. Tank los heal tank los heal cc (vamp drain) burst. The burst potential is as high if not higher than warden.

Too many skills are broken and/or don't function well.
No mobility. No gap closer. No execute. No functional CC.
Just sub par all the way around.
This, sadly, I think magicka necromancers will just become sorcerers.
Because of the first part where skills don't work or don't work reliably, the lack of class mobility, exectute, etc. becomes more important.
There is a menu of basic functions that every class is built from: escape, gap close, spammable, burst, dot, exectute, CC, sustain, self buff, heal, hot, debuff and purge.
Necro is missing a decent amount of basic functions and its spammable, burst and dots are poor, buggy or unusable. Fix blastbones, the tethers, and speed up the skull spammable, and the missing functions become easier to work around. I don't think necro will ever be a top tier class, but at least it becomes decently usable.
I’ve seen it perform exceptionally when piloted well.
I think this, but still too rare to differentiate the player from the class. The ones who do well do really well.
