Ok, if supporters of P2P are Zenimax moles. I guess that makes you someone from Forbes desperate to be proven right :P

For me, I'm with the crowd that would quit the day it went F2P. I've already signed up for a six month sub :D

That's why because you signed up for 6 months. That's silly we don't know the day of tomorrow what if server doesn't work or game doesn't work for a month or 2?

Ye I remember WoW servers being down for 2-3 days at a time when it launched too. Speaking as someone who, thusfar, has only encountered ONE unpassable quest bug (Westry ghosts now fixed) in live. Personally, I've only really missed out on 3 or 4 hours that I wouldn't have if the servers weren't down for maintenance and the fact that they're fixing stuff all the time with these unscheduled stoppages gives me faith that things will only get better.

My F2P comment would apply to ANY game btw. It's simply a system I refuse to, and would never, support.

I'm not impressed as I know ZOS sent undercover agents to disrupt my post.

Just stop smoking whatever it is your smoking ... your so paranoid and delusional.

Your so important ZoS pay a few guys £15 p/h to follow you around and attack your threads ..... really believe this ?

Given ZOS isn't a publicly traded corp they don't have the pressure from investors like EA and some other mmo makers, but nothing about free to play is ever free.

    Time will tell what happens.

Uh, that's not technically true. It means the pressure comes from a smaller pool of investors, one of which has been indicted for banking fraud in the past. *shrug* #dirtylaundry #theonethatgetsmebanned :D

I have to disagree about ANY game. DoDo2, League of Lesbians and Loadout have good F2P models, infact I love all 3 of them. But for an MMO, a F2P system like Dora2 and League of Llama would mean suicide.

F2P models always cost me $20 a month instead of $15. The seasonal events, items, and activities end up going another $5-$10 beyond that.

In the end F2P always costs a MMORPG Gamer more money.

Hello ZOS I think we should just admit our mistakes here not a lot of people going to continue paying subs with the quality of service we've been receiving. If you make the game Free to play (F2P) I think the odds are more in your favor since people will actually want to pay $60 for the game. Right now everyone is upset because we paid for a broken product but if we don't pay anymore then we won't be so unforgiving. Take the example from FFXIV Square apologized and made it free and now they rise again with FFXIV RR.

FF still sucks and will continue to suck because they can't make MMO's that play well. ESO isn't going FTP anytime soon and I am sick of hearing people cry about it, just because they don't want to pay the current fee. OMG! *** broke! FTP! NAO! No, it doesn't work this way and never has... Quality AAA titles like this have always had issues at launch in one form or another.

If you don't know this, this is your first MMO and anything you say will not lead me to believe otherwise...

    Just stop.

I have had no issues. Only 2 times i went through some bookcase and got stuck falling forever. I made a ticket ingame. The wait time was only 1 minute it said. Within 3 minutes i had an e-mail and they fixed my issue. If it goes free to play i will not touch it.

If it goes free to play but the sub is only there for extra perks and stuff i may stick around but if it's fully F2P no thanks

I have 100 unplayed steam games so I haven't tried DDO, I did try Neverwinter, which I did like, but it didn't keep my attention much. (Neverwinter is boring, they should have gone with Ravenloft TBH.) And what I have heard from friends who played it till endgame said that DDO has a LOT of paygates.

"Free to play" == "Pay to win". You think inventory slots are bad now? Wait until the game goes P2W, when they give you 10 slots and you have to pay $5 per extra 5 slots or you get this magical chest with epic loot that you can't open unless you pay $5 for a stupid key (per character).

The only P2W model that is bearable is LOTRO. They have the option to subscribe and get 500 points per month OR you can opt out of subbing and pay for points as you need them. Either way, you'll end up paying more than $15 per month with P2W unless you don't like quest packs or mounts or inventory slots or epic gear or you just want to run around and do nothing all day long.

Except for the cash limit, DCUO's is actually pretty good. It gives the players a lot of options on what they want to do, at any rate. Some of the content is gated as "DLC", there's two tiers of subscribers ($5 a month and $15 a month). The $15 a month players get the DLC releases for free, can crack the lockboxes that drop for them for free, and get $5 in the cash shop each month. The $5 players get extra character slots, and, they might get replay tokens, I don't remember.

The only downside is that free players are restricted to $500 (the in game currency you pull off stuff is marked as dollars... go figure.), and the $5 a month players are restricted to... I think 2 grand or 5 grand, something like that.

There is still some hope to this game , if they manage to fix the most serious bugs FAST (which they are not managing atm) AND if their endgame content is interesting enough to keep tons of player hooked.

I have yet to see how it works , but by sounds of it , will be group content only , which would lose a sub in me when i reach vet 10 , i prefer to play alone , have no reason to pay for a game that wants me to play in groups.

But that is me , they only need to please the majority , and if im the minority , then so be it.

With that said , most of the other MMOs that tried subs/month "recently" went F2P , because most people do NOT wait , they will not wait 1/2 years for the game to rival another already out MMO , better just go play that , it is that simple.

Definitely should to stay as sub. That being said some kind of gesture on their part like xtra days, items, whatever would go along way right now. They have less than 2 weeks to show us something. Anything.

I'll gladly pay the $12 a month subscription (best package deal IMO) if it means the following:
    - Tons of content
    - Great customer service
    - Free content down the road

Out of all three of those, so far I've seen all three, and it's barely been a couple weeks.

Bottom line: Subscription for ESO is best. Anyone who says otherwise is either a troll or is jealous because they can't afford it.

Zenimax, I love ESO! You keep doing what you do best!

I am unable to play for 2 days now due to the patch. yes I have read the forums and reinstalled and did the whole .version files for 8 hours yesterday. game just keeps going in a loop of install/repair. I know not everyone is having it as bad as me, and that's ok, but I unsubbed and am pending a refund.

Free house or something for the people that stuck out launch, once houses hit (presumably, right?). Something like that. *shrug* Those're my 2 cents. Free time or other stuff is both kinda pandering and also kinda just not classy. IMO. I already quit, sorry, I know I'm just rubbernecking.

Sub all the way, supported whole heartedly from me, definitely makes for a better game.

BUT, they are going to have to offer some sweeteners to the people that got hit hard by the big launch bugs (I am thinking bank and item loss here). I did not get hit by them but I'd be seriously pissed off if I did. So I feel for those people.

If this game goes f2p you wont see me around, not like I'm anything special, but i can guarantee you at least a thousand others would be following right behind me, as f2p is the ruin of games.

Please do not make this a f2p game. Keep fixing things, and keep it going.

This game is already f2p material, it will just take a little time for ZOS to realize it.

It's far from f2p material, they just need to sweep out the riffraff and all will be well.
