Yo, I am running a FX6300 cpu, r9 270x gpu, none of them overclocked unless it came overclocked out of the box (AFAIK, the cpu isn't >:D). Anyways, so I was playing the game and I usually have micro-stutters, I saw various fixes like:
1) Closing the launcher after clicking "Play" - tried this and worked but for some reason stutters come back when changing zones.
2) unparking cores - still scared to do this, because I read it would make my CPU's temp go higher
3) setting eso.exe (or something) to high priority - scared to try this as well
and reading more topics I found that if you opened the usersettings.txt file in your Documents --> Elder Scrolls Online --> Live folder and changing this line:
"Search: SET RequestedNumThreads "-1" to: "SET RequestedNumThreads "0""
fixes the problem.
I have tried it and so far none or very seldom micro-stuttering, my question now is what does this specifically mean? and is this bad for my CPU, (afaik it relates to the cpu because of the word "thread"), I am no expert in specific parts of the computer but can someone tell me if this is bad when it comes to hardware?
Also adding a screenshot, this is my temperature/s after changing the settings.
I'm from the Philippines and it is seriously hot especially since its summer, so give or take lessen 1-3C
PS
I don't manually overclock, I don't have aftermarket cooling besides the one that came out from the box.
