✭✭✭ColdharbourThe epic Coldharbor theme music absolutely kills it - and nothing beats the eerie ghost town of Hollow City being gradually repopulated as you rally all the poor souls that are stuck in Molag Bal's realm of desolation.
We got plenty of Mushroomy zones already (Bal Foyen, Stonefalls, Deshaan, Vvardenfell) so Deshaan should lose this round imo. It is a poor substitute for Vvardenfell anyway.1 -

✭DeshaanDeshaan has one of the most beautiful (mushroom) forests! Also I think Mournhold is the best city for services. It is the only city with the crafting stations, guild traders writ merchant and the undaunted enclave all relatively close to the wayshrine. Only the bank is a bit far away, but that isn't that bad considering the minimal travel needed in Mournhold makes it the most convenient city.3 -

✭✭✭✭✭DeshaanI find Coldharbour to be an interesting and reasonably challenging zone, but sometimes I have trouble getting from point A to nearby point B due to the terrain. It's also so... blue.
Deshaan is more visually appealing to me, and less troublesome to get around in. I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!1 -

Zos missed a massive opportunity with the final zone - Coldharbour. Its fairly boring and drab and a pain to move around. Though the city is pleasant and useful. And by the time you are lvl 50 or CP, the final fight is ridiculously easy. Although I did like the idea of a small army of your former comrades and story NPCs coming together, that was great, but they didnt follow this through enough. It could have been a great feature.
Coldharbour should have been designated a veteran area, with adds and bosses more difficult accordingly, it is after all the final part of the base story.
Deshaan has a decent story, useful city/facilities, the undaunted enclave, is easy to navigate and it looks great.3 -

✭✭✭DeshaanThe idea behind Coldharbour's design is solid, and it has its "nice" spots.
But for a zone that large, it's depressingly monotone in its grey blue-ish twilight and black blue-ish ground and bright blue-ish water.
Deshaan is not the most spectacular of areas either, but Mournhold beats the Hollow City (in permanent blue-ish dimness) quite soundly - in beauty, quests, and above all in practicality.0 -

This was exactly my thinking until I decided to give the game credit for a very original feeling "hell" type zone. And I also chose to give more credit for vibe / feel than for convenience. But even as a wood elf I find myself frequenting Mournhold more than most crafting cities. That and Rimmen, that is.0 -
