So I've got 2 computers, A laptop and a desktop. I'd like to be able to play ESO on both when ever I need to switch how ever my internet is not so good. Anyone got some advice so I can copy my ESO files over to my other computer?
Both run WIn7. Not sure what other information I should give, ask if more info is needed.
Thanks.

just copy the whole thing from one to the other. I did it and it works just fine. I might help to install the game on the destination computer. then delete it (not uninstall) and copy over the working copy.

Ive done this witha few different games, Install and patch on one of your computers. Copy the completed installation to your usb Hdd or stick.

Run the Game installer on the other PC and leave it running for a bit, this is just so it has the chance to do all the windows registry type stuff, then copy the folders from your USB drive or stick into the 2nd PC if you get any popup boxes asking about file versions to keep or replace take the option that is replace or overwrite.

Should run fine, the sad part of this launcher method of updating is that when the game patches you'll have to repeat the whole process instead of just copying an update file.

I really do wish there was an option to download an executable patch, but thats not likely to ever happen, Games just dont do it that way anymore.

Yeah, you can just copy it. You might need to change the permissions on the copy so they aren't read only, depending how you copy it. I did it to get my first install, as walking down the road and copying 29 Gb onto a disk at a friend's house was a lot faster than downloading.

It is also handy to have a backup of the data in case you get some funky error and need to 'reinstall' or you have a failure of your hardware and have to install a new OS and game.

    +1 this.
The last patch borked both our installations here and being a slacker when it comes to disaster recovery backups and the like, i only had an old backup from a while ago, so sat here now while it patches that up, still alot quicker than a full install at 70 Kb/s
