A little more space, and a reactive feature where if the account name is changed it's reflected on that list.

I only block people if there's corroborated evidence of scamming or other game security issues. That list has grown but hasn't quite maxed out yet. But I'm sure it will before the game closes, so maybe now's the time to ask for an extension...

    (The IN-GAME ignore list.)

In my opinion, we shouldn't have to remove an ignored player just to add a new one to the list. So, having a limit at all stinks. But I'd settle for double the limit at this point.

Honestly, I have less than 10 accounts on my ignore list. But it seems to be growing every day. Trolls and smarmy players and elitist you-know-whats are getting worse and worse.
BUT, that's not what this poll is about. So, again...

Would you appreciate, and/or think other players would appreciate, an ignore list that could store at least double the current limit?
    (The in-game ignore list.)

Been playing since launch ignore still not full. If your list is filled maybe you should consider not taking things personally . People online can be jerks but it's best if you just learn to ignore them without blocking. Save that for the REAL bad ones. Like that dps I ran with who used a SINGLE sword and blamed the tank for not healing him. Dropping more racial slurs then I knew existed. Real gent that guy.

Anyone that tells me to "STFU" for calling for help in PvP is on my ignore list.
Anyone who calls me names is on my ignore list.
Anyone who makes fun of me is on my ignore list.
People that are being annoying in chat are on my ignore list.
Anyone who harasses me is on my ignore list.
Anyone who threatens me is on my ignore list.

100 is obviously not enough spots. I always have to delete people off my ignore list to add more players to it. We should have an unlimited number.

I maybe wrong but I don't think the ignore list indicates when the last time the player logged in. Are they sorted in some type of order? I normally just randomly un-ignore players to add more to my list. It would be nice to be able to delete the people that haven't logged in for a few months first.

Dude, at this rate you best stick to single player games lol. I'll probably end up on ignore but that right there is why the mmo community is dying, no one has the ability to just MENTALLY ignore ppl, they all need a "hurt feelers" list.

I don't need an ignore button to ignore people, if I feel they are being a troll I will just stop responding to them and within a few messages they get that I'm not interested and go away.

I usually just use ignore as a temporary measure, I like to think of it as wearing ear muffs to block the noise from annoying neighbours.

I will only ever block those idiots that like to spam zone chat with idiotic comments, got no problem with some one saying their piece and moving on, zone chat usually moves quite fast and the post is gone soon enough, I just won't put up with someone constantly posting more of the same nonsense, trying to make sure everyone in zone or entering the zone sees their garbage.

Some time later usually the following day, I un ignore them, its a big game, while their is a high chance I will run into the same idiot again in the future, takes a whole few seconds to ignore them again while I know they are in the same zone I am in.

    Example:

    zone chat without ignore

    blah blah blah blah blah
    xoxoxoxoxooxoxoxxooxxo
    FD Ash UA
<<<<<<<<<< I eat bla bla blah

I'm not real sure why people keep feeling the need to point fingers, or place blame, or to give their opinions whatsoever.

This isn't about any of your opinions about other people that would want or not want the ignore list limit increased.

This is about whether or not YOU would want the ignore list limit increased, or why YOU think it would be appreciated by other players (but maybe not by you).
This thread has NOTHING to do with WHY you think people want the ignore list limit increased.
This thread has NOTHING to do with your OPINION about OTHER PEOPLE.

No one cares about your opinions. No one, except maybe yourself.
So stop posting them here, please, because this isn't the thread for your feelings or about how other people need to toughen up.

I've never ignored anyone, because I've never seen the same player twice (unless it's someone from a guild or a friend) so I find it amazing people can ignore 100 people, when the chance that I would meet the same person more than once is very small

In three years of play I have never ignored anyone. I have only ever had a couple people in pug groups be directly abusive, when they could have instead took a few seconds to explain something, back when I was still learning about the game. I probably didn't even know I could ignore back then, and I have never heard from either of them afterwards so it doesn't really matter anyway.

I cannot imagine needing to ignore 100 people.

This is why the ignore list should be like 10 people max and flagging/reporting should only for things like cheating and real harassment.

They need to make it like other games where the list can be maintained on the user’s computer. So that one can have nearly unlimited player accounts on ignore along with an account @ name check for those on said list to see if the account name has been changed and still block them.

So the server does this basically: sees an tell is incoming to the player -> checks to see if that name is on the player’s client side ignore list -> check to see if that account ever held any names on the ignore list -> if either are yes then the tell gets rejected, if no to both then tell gets through.

Personally I wouldn't mind being able to see who I have ignored just hasn't logged in and probably won't be back to take them off, but on the other hand I suppose ZoS doesn't do this because it can be abused by harassers that like to block people but send ugly messages that can't be replied to.

My list isn't full yet, but I can tell you its around as long as my friends list is. Some are just minor things like spam. As a roleplayer, I don't really care to see people discussing their dueling sets or spamming "gf", "gg" in /say all the time. It just kinda ruins my general RP experience when I'm in public places by being distracting (and pvpers and trolls LOOOOVE to invade and harass public RP spaces).

I've only maybe blocked 5-8 people in a year for actual offensive conduct, harassment, stalking, etc. but those aren't the only reasons people want to put others on ignore. Sometimes, maybe even more frequently, it keeps their chat cleaner and less cluttered. I don't personally think I need an ignore list that long (yet) but I wouldn't be against having the option to ignore more people either if I really need to.

Remember there as an issue where a player discovered guild lists causing lag in Cyrodiil about a year or two ago. They would do a search to limit the number of players in the selected guild and it reduced the lag they were experiencing.

Granted, Zos made changes to reduce the resulting lag but that does not affect when we actively look at the lists.

Also, it does not matter if this list is kept client side or server side. The server must have the information for an ignore list to be effective in any manner. The server is checking every time someone sends an PM or mail to a player.

Friends lists would be even more cumbersome as it must check to see who is online or not every time we look at it just like the guild rosters.

So there is valid reason for Zos to keep the current limitations.

Let me cite my friend, we play PvP mostly:

"If you don't recieve any rage whisps you have to get better build."

When you kill players, you will get rage whisps. When you don't let others to kill you, you will receive rage whisps (about being useless tank etc. etc.). This is one of the reasons why I used to play with "Offline" status to not fill my ignore list, but it is a bit inconvenient since my friends can't whisp me to.
