ESO has better character creation than most MMO’s! I like that they’re not overly stylized and that for the most part we have the same options for male and female characters. Ugh, I absolutely HATE those MMO’s where all the female characters look like dolls or hookers! I find it very insulting to be given no other option, like the only purpose of female characters is eye candy or whatever.

As to OP’s other suggestions, I think that enabling flying has the risk of diminishing the game rather than adding to it. I do like how GW2 implemented it, making it a more limited ability (IMHO their mounts in general are best of any MMO I’ve seen) and verticality too in Heart of Thorns and some of the early underwater exploration. Any of those things could be great in ESO if properly implemented to fit the world and lore, but I do not think they are necessary.

Besides the clear essential first of working correctly, the feature I think I would most enjoy seeing added to ESO (and I think fitting with Elder Scrolls games) would be to vastly add to what is now known simply as player housing. Now I love that in ESO, but it could be so much more fun and appeal to more players if we could do so much more with it: Let is create our own PvP arenas and dungeons that other players can challenge if they wish!

Ok what is actually needed to save the game.

    - Stable servers and performance.
    - Stable combat from patch to patch and improved class identity
    - Large scale bug fixes
    - Better dungeon finder
    - less events
    - More variation in content (Especially in dailies)
    - More actually meaningful choices in builds in how and what to build rather than "oh if i have a damage glyph my sustain will be even more trash". More niche and varied playstyles

And yes, sexy armors. Fun fact zos, female players like these too. Like 4 of my female friends went completely nuts when the nocturnal and egg sister costumes were datamined. A little variety to for all tastes doesnt hurt

Has anyone played the last couple expansions and thought, "I enjoyed it, but it's just more of the same?" Well here's one humble players opinion for what ESO needs to do to stay relevant and competitive.

Character Creation/Armor Design: So other MMORPGS like Black Desert Online, Bless Online, Final Fantasy 14, Tera: Rising, Blade and Soul, ArcheAge, and the list goes on; features more stylized character designs, including physics with the hair, breasts, and more revealing armor designs. There is NO sex appeal in ESO. None. Are we that "woke" now?...
I really dislike those games that make "revealing armor designs" - that is what costumes are for (and I -still- wish the costumes all unequipped in combat, just like disguises. or at least some of them...)
Armor is supposed to look like -armor-; not like a bronze bra or chainmail bikini, that belongs in some nightflower shows or Dibella rituals!

Now, I definitely would not be opposed to more "sex appeal" in ESO... heck, if I had my wishes, they would be pushing their "M" rating to the very limit! But -not- on the battlefield! (in other places tho... ohhhh, myyyyy! :naughty: )

I would also love to see improved hair options - some of them that do have physics look like a single rag on the characters head, and there could be more done there. Much more.

I also would love to see more options for structural differences... like, an option to exceed some sliders for chargen.
Let us pay to play taller then possible "titanbborn" nord cousins to Lyris!
Let us pay to play stouter then possible imperial matrons that make the best pasta!
Let us pay to play shorter then possible breton dwarves who drink wine and know things!
Let us pay to play more muscular then possibe orcs people wouldn't like if they got angry!
Let us pay to play fatter then possible redguard haren guards who gave up -much- for their job!
Let us pay to play tinier then possible petite dunmer assassins that can squeeze through any arrowslit!
Let us pay to play skinnier then possible necromancers that look like they -really- need a sammich right now!
Yeah, I would enjoy those character diversifications! And spend some crowns on them too! (and then some more to refit them to existing characters!)

They could even do something special with all those... like, make them an extra racial trait that has both positive and negative effects. Titanborn? Sure, you get a bit to weapon damage, but you also get less critical resistance since your vital areas are just so much larger... Dwarf? Sure, you maybe get the opposite - more critical resistance because your vitals are harder to hit, but also a penalty to weapon damage for your stubby arms... extra-fat character? Sure, you get an HP bonus for all that blubbler, but you also get a penalty for sprinting stamina drain because... of the same. Extra-skinny character? The opposite. Extra-muscular character gets a bonus to armor penetration due to heavy blows, but a penalty to critical hits because of all that muscle costing in agility, extra petite character the opposite. Et cetera...
    Battle Royale...
I don't really see why not?
They could make several more PvP regions with various flavor, why not one for that if people want to?
    Verticality...
Is not a good idea for ESO.
For one, it would not work with how the world is built, even now intrepid explorers can in some places take a peek "behind the curtain" and see how the world is built to look good from a ground-perspective only, and different angles show where the developers cut corners to lessen the CPU load and thus the lag.
For another, it would increase lag significantly, since a lot more calculations would need to be made, both for invisible walls and for player z-axis.
And finally, it would be an unholy mess in cyrodil, where it would bypass the whole siege system if people could just storm any keep from any direction with their air dropped assault...
    Deep Sea Diving...
...would make for a -nifty- expansion.
Yes, the game system is not really up for it, but they could work around that in some ways by making is a completely seperate region where they can have seperate mechanics. And "underwater map" perhaps, where you have to move by swimming (I can hear the argonians laugh already) and have to dash from air pocket to air pocket (until you find that potion of water breathing recipe, or a ring enchanted with the same as quest reward?)
    Sailing...
...does not sound like such a great thing. Considering how boring it would be to just go around tamriel, and how much more lag it would be for the servers to keep track of all those boats - slaughterfish exist for a reason after all, so they don't have to make their maps bigger then needed.

A proper "sailing" cutscene for whenever we take a boat though... oh, I'd adore that, so much more then a boring loadscreen! Especially if it had some varietee, at least as to which ship we sail with. And the harbormaster boats could easily take us to more places...

One thing that would be nifty - a selection of "ship homesteads" in various maritime flavor (altmer frigate, breton caravel, dunmer junk, nord longship, khajiit galley, whatever...) that can be reached from harbor boats, any harbour boats...
Sound off in the comments below and tell me what you would like to see.

Personally I would not want that either.

Don't get me wrong I like games that don't shy away from sexual themes... where its making sense.

For example, I loved the options in FallOut2, where your female characters could use their "womanly wiles" to get the kidnapper to lower the ransom demand, or play "femme fatal" and lure the steet ganger away from his buddies with promises of a "good time", and then... get the jump on him. I also loved the option that game gave to engage in "adult movies" - with the consequence of getting a reputation and the pious crime family refusing to deal with you. Actions, consequences... those are what make games great!

But sexualized where it does NOT fit, well, that is better left for "hentai" games entirely.

Its a matter of finding the right dosage. Much like with TV series - for example, "Game of Thrones" did get the right mix, "Spartacus - Blood and Sand" did not and too often added naughty scenes for no storyline reason at all, just "fanservice" and that got annoying pretty quickly I have to say...

And the same is with armor. It should look like its made to do the job of protecting its wearer, not seducing the audience like a flimsy stage costume for a raunchy play aiming to advertise "private performances" of its actors...

I personally think every DLC/chapter zone needs a unique mechanic.
Vvardenfell should have tremors and an occasional erupting volcano, Summerset should have random raids of rogue mages riding gryphons, I don't know about Elsweyr since I won't buy it, Skyrim should have violent blizzards.

See, I would find it offensive if such options were there for female characters and not male characters. It could work if either were an option depending on the NPC I suppose. As to whether any of that would add to the game, I am skeptical.

Even GoT, as good as the first seasons were, went overboard with the “sexposition” — why have two characters simply talking if you can have some *** in the background? Now, I am no prude, but it was a bit much, and exclusively to appeal to a certain male demographic.

More options and actions and consequences in quests and NPC interactions would certainly be welcome though! :)

Only thing I can agree with OP on is the sailing as it was the only thing I did enjoy in Archeage. As for the sexy outfits there are plenty of them in the game. Even though those outfits exist what I like about ESO is that it has enough outfits that are modest it gives off this feel of a more civilized world. Besides, I think my Breton is very attractive in some of her dresses.

Agreed. I totally would want to see the very same stuff for male characters. And I don't just mean male characters in dancers silks (which can be funny in its own right), but... hey, why not a quest to rescue a prince in a skimpy outfit from his evil kidnappers that want to ravish his bod... oh, wait, we get exactly that, twice, with Stibbons! Well, except for the outfit of course, and I thought back when I first played those how fun it would have been if the daedra in question had put him into some mediaval-ish "chippendale dancer" costume... ;):naughty:

I considered it the right amount to set the stage so to speak, show a certain mindset among the people of westeros, which then lessened as things got more... complicated. And people were getting more into war then love.
Have to say, they -could- have done a bit more for some of the males too on this, but... eh. Still did it so much better then "S-BaS" who had those scenes in for no reason at all at times. Same for the violence actually, that show occasionally had fight scenes that had no meaning at all for the story, interrupted the story even, just to show off CGI blood sprays.
    ErinM31 wrote: »

    Agreed.
I so would love to have a "reputastion system" in the game, that keeps track of every choice you make. Both quest choices, and other actions...
...let people steal and murder, but every time they get caught, they not only get a easily cleared bounty, but also a permanent reputation as "bad guy/gal" that affects things... some favorably as fellow criminals are impressed, some less so as law abiding NPCs are disgusted.
...let people engage in PvP a lot or not as they choose, but do something more with the "Oh, a war hero" reputation that could come with a high alliance rank in questing reactions too! Again, both favorable and otherwise - partiots might let a "war hero" skip some sidequest (much like the dialouge intimidate/persuade options), while pacifists might require such a "war hero" to jump through some extra hoops to prove they are not just bundles of violence before they let the quest continue...
...and yes, let people engage in "adult" actions with NPCs (with a fadeout of course, this is not a hentai game after all), but let the reputation as "morally corrupt" grow and have consequences as well.

Heck, if I had my way, I would even add a hidden "threatening" stat to -every- costume and armor visual, and let it affect gameplay. The more "threatening" your character looks, the more likely mobs are to be too afrait to attack... BUT the more bounty you get for crime as well for the city guard would have their eyes on a "treatening looking person".
There could be a "wealthy" stat to all clothes and costumes as well, that increases attack chance as bendits spot a "rich mark", but also gets you better deals from vendors hoping to snag a wealthy repeat customer...

Oh, well. Not like stuff like this is common in games... though its just those sort of details I would love to see in my gaming.

[snip] it's bad enough seeing people go around with glowing skins.

Hate battle royale, every shooter game has gone down that route and in my honest opinion it's been over done now.

As much as flying mounts sound interesting they would end up offering an adventure and no one would ever use land mounts anymore.

If the gaming engine could support it I would be up for under water exploring.

As for sailing I'm not sure how it would work but if it could be done I guess I would be ok with that.

This. I choosed ESO because it lacks most of the "features" OP mentioned. Im sick'n'tired of same graphics, same flashy animations, half naked women armors breaking the immersion, lore unfriendly mounts etc. etc. Even those we have in ESO currently are not always appealing to eye. In general, ESO is awesome and uniqe game, what it lacks the most is good performance. Thats all.
